When it comes to the sex

When it comes to writing "the sex" that's when my juices start flowing. OK, sorry for the pun, but I couldn't resist.

Here's how I approach "the sex." I describe it as it truly is, highlighting the details—the little things we notice during the act and most writers ignore because they go for the cliches. But it exists in the moment, and I describe it in detail. For example, any woman will tell you about that stray hair that might grow on her areola. I can pluck and pluck all day, but if one escapes grooming, he’ll find it every time. So, I write those moments into my stories.

When bodies are wet with sweat, I love to describe it. There are sounds in sex beyond the moans—sounds our bodies make when air is forced in and out of moist areas. I make sure to mention them. We’ve all experienced a queef; I write about that experience. Sometimes it’s amusing, but usually the characters are too engrossed in the action to notice.

In my work, you’ll get a vivid description of what is happening deep inside the body when two people climax—the contractions, the liquids seeking a destination, the surge of dopamine. Externally, I focus on the erogenous zones, drops of sweat trickling down from armpits, flesh getting red, even lactation, if it advances the story.

Since a lot of my sex scenes happen spontaneously, I love to show how unprepared we can be. A five o'clock shadow under her arms because she didn’t expect to have sex and hadn't shaved in three days. Unattractive panties with stains that she would never wear on a date. Stains on sheets and pillows from past encounters that never get washed out.

And then there are the smells. Body odor that can cause attraction and sometimes opposite reactions. If it’s wet, moist, slick, or sensitive, I will describe it. I’ve descrive the taste of oral sex 100 diffent way, but always based on flavors and smell I find in everyday life that match the reality (warm figs people)

That said, you won’t find any ten-inch cocks in my experience, and no porn tits. I’ve never seen a 10-incher in real life, and I doubt you have either. The breasts I describe are normal, and I love to point when one is a different size than the other (mine are, how about you). I can do two paragrahs on the raised bumps that circle my areola or an embaressing pimple that is swelling on my ass.

Depending on the character, I spend a notable amount of time describing the pubic hair they refused to shave or the subpar shave job they did in the shower, leaving long hair and stubble in sensitive places.

If you’ve ever done anal, you’ll know it slow and go, not like in porn. There is pain and pressure, and I make sure to detail it. Then there is the pleasure. And when it’s done and bodies separate, there are sounds. I detail them all.

I don’t write about pee play because that’s not my vibe, but my characters often need to get up to pee because I often have to get up to pee. I describe that sensation of release and relief because it’s real.

The comments on my work tend to be positive, as my readers love the real feel of my descriptions.

I love crafting a clever story, where the sex comes along organically and is therefore motivated. I’ve been accused of taking it too far, but the truth is, I take it to a real place that’s messy, loud, and erotic as hell.
