Look up and squint, you may be able to see the point whizzing overhead. I realise that I'm not really conscious while I sleep and so I could be doing it then, but I don't believe I've ever used the Internet to find out personal details about anybody who's decried my taste in women or something equally as minor for...I'm going to say for potential blackmail purposes, because all of the possible reasons are equally ridiculous.
Also, I'm not a complete cunt to everybody I encounter. This appears to be where we diverge.

I'm with DVS. Some people get over excited and imagine their info posted on the web will only beseen by strangers and those they would want to see it. If you know the person involved, I would contact them in a friendly way. If they have a negative reaction, at least you may have awakened them to the fact you might not be the only person they know who now knows more about them than they might want.

I must say that all of us already know that what we put out here on the net is NOT private. However....IMHO we should still repect other's privacy. Especially for us kinky folks. Our communities are so small that we should take care of our own. I personally don't see anything wrong with approaching a fellow kinkster that you know professionally....unless you think this person could hurt you. In some instances it could actually further your career. People like other people like them. Simple.

I think that people often make a distinction in their mind between being known as kinky, and being KNOWN as kinky.
That is they post their face, name, other info out there and they are aware that they can be recognized. But if someone that recognize them brings it up, it freaks them out as it goes from "recognized but unspoken of" to "recognized and real".
Someone they can deal with being recognized as far as it is not spoken about.
Me? I don't think I'd have a problem if someone in real life would recognize me. Afterall it means we are in the same side of perv. But, if the person was somebody I did not like to begin with, I think it would be really annoying.
As for the OP and how to proceed. If you decide to PM her, don't just do the "I know who you are". Make sure to volunteer the same amount of information about you that you have about her ... or at least enough to make her feel you are exposing yourself too (but also put in the same writing her info, just in case she decides to delete her profile and keep your info as incriminating). And leave the next move to her.
If she ignores you, just ignore her and go on as if nothing happened.
