Where are the femmes at?

It does in a way. I wasn't sure if it's personality types or dressing. *sighs* I dress up when I have to or the rare times I had a good reason for doing so. When I do, it's feminine. Honestly, if I had my choice, I'd go the old fashioned style. I love the flowing sleeves, somewhat low neckline. *pouts* Dress I have in my closet and nowhere to wear it yet or reason to...peasant smock type with tiered skirt. I hate make up but love jewelry.

But most of the time, I'm casual with jeans and t-shirt. *smiles slightly* Be nice to have a reason and person to dress up for.

to steal diz' line "can we see?" (at least the low neckline part...)

The femme thing, it's so interesting... I do think that queer women do it differently. BTW, your dress-up mode sounds like a lot of the women I "came up" with. :D

Interestingly enough, I always felt quite butch in my hetro life, but now that I am in love with a woman, I feel more feminine and for the first time in my life I am comfortable in my body.

Oh, yes, and I'm lesbian. And I'm woman. Whichever way that goes, is good for me.

note to self :maybe good for all of us....

Another lesbian here

not very fem though...but I wouldn't call myself butch either.

just here to tickle Jasmine lezli neon and Nirvana

and welcome all you new girls. you should stop by the daily vibe sometime!

Hi

I am a lesbian who can use power tools and also wears dresses and heels, or jeans and a tee. I m feminine but not *really* a femme because I rarely date "butches". Labels seems so limiting sometimes.

Hi to all (waves)
Another femme stopping in to say hi.
If anyone would like to chat, drop me a pm. I don't bite, unless you ask ;)

I'm kind of shocked to realise I've been a member of Lit for over 3 years now....and I only just found out there was a GLBT forum!! How sad is that?

I have no idea how I would be categorised, I simply refer to myself as a woman who fell in love with a woman, who fell in love with me. We are now 'married' according to UK law - almost one year - and couldn't be happier.

Hah! The GLBT forum was started in May 2003, exactly when you joined. Glad you finally found us!
