I like this because it means democracy is unthreatened by Big Money.
I can't imagine that Kounalakis, Thurmond, Bonta (if he doesn't seek second full four-year term as State Attorney General), or Yee will be thrilled about the unpopular soon-to-be former Vice President running for the Governorship.Only if it's a repeat of what should have been Nixon's swansong. I hate to think that she'd resurface in 8 years to run for president again.

Harris cannot run for State Attorney General again due to the STUPID ass term limits law.I agree with you. I’m not even sure she could run and win back the seat of attorney General.
She ain’t very popular.
Bonta might be pressured to stay put as State Attorney General by seeking a second full four-year term in 2026. I doubt Bacerra runs for the Governorship. If Kamala runs for Gov, she'll ensure that Bonta wins the election.
Kounalakis has zero chance.

Unlikely she runs for the United States Senate again as well. It's the Governorship or private sector for Harris.
I do NOT see her running for the Presidency because other Democrats like Newsom, Whitmer, Shapiro, Moore, Pritzker all will be running in 2028 and will NOT wait their turn. Because in their viewpoints, 2028 began on Wednesday, 6 November 2024.
