Where Is The Love

Iolaus

Iolaus heard the battle and knew that something had gone wrong. Now he wasnt worried about not getting Hercules and Aphrodite out of the underword because of their facination with each other. Now he was worried about any of them getting out of their because the dead didnt leave the underworld.

Moving faster than he could remember moving before, Iolaus broke out of the passageway and into a place that could only be Tartarus and immediately applied the brakes coming to a screetching halt and shouting out in surprise and dread.

There was Hercules fighting a hydra. Not a memory that was looked on fondly by Iolaus and one that he would rather not relive. But he wasnt about to let his best friend fight the monster alone.

Giving a quick look around, he spied a torture that might be helpful. Hades was going to have a fit as well as a bad time getting this place back to order but needs of the present outweighted even godly anger.

The torture he spied was a woman who was tied to a stake and being burnt eternally by wood that was never consumed.

With a run toward the woman at the stake he grabbed two good sized sticks that were burning with the unearthly fire.

With a flip and a roll, he was moving under the hydra, had slapped one burning branch into Herc's hands and stood beside his friend with the other one ready to strike at the hydra and protect Hercule's back.

Hercules

The distraction provided by Iolaus was just what Hercules needed. Deftly snatching a burning branch from the air as Iolaus tossed it his way, they began to drive the beast back. Fire was one of the very few things the beast had an aversion to.

Soon, they had the beast driven back to its lair. They tossed the torch down, and bolted to where Aphrodite stood. Each of them grabbed an arm, picked her up, and ran quickly down the tunnel, the beast's roars of outrage echoing behind them.

They stopped for breath, and Hercules pulled Aprhodite to him. Their hearts began to pound as he spoke. "Do. Not. Run. Away. Again!" She was afraid of this demi-god she loved, but it was a delicious sensation. His concern and strength made her melt inside...

Hercules

The look on her face, the relief of finding her safe... the adrenaline pumping through his veins, the magic arrow of Cupid... all this was just too much for the enchanted hero... He simply pulled Aphrodite even closer to himself, and kissed her. This was no brotherly kiss, but a full, empassioned, lover's kiss, which barely expressed the emotions raging within him at that moment.
