OK folks... this seems like a good time to ask this.

Contrary to what the evil GA says... I would not be upset if this thread stopped. It's lasted FAR longer than I thought it would, and it's been fun. The simple thing is.. it takes a lot of effort and co-operation for it to work well. And the fact is that
1. Lately the numbers are dwindling
2. I hardly have any pics stored

In my opinion, it will soon run out of steam with the same people supplying pictures (though I'd like them to continue). You need a mix... same with names as options.

I've tried advertising it and mentioning it, but nothing seems to work. Not even the 'card' links in sigs people kindly sport for me. (and for that I thank you all :)).

I'm happy to continue for the time being, but I can't with no pics.

A close friend was very honest (and for that I sincerely thank them for being honest) and said that to them, it sounded like I was begging for pics when I do this every so often..... and it made me look silly to them.

If so... then maybe I should stop.... but when I run out of pics, I don't see an option. Other than to just close the thread...

So what to do.... I dunno.

I do propose to introduce a new rule. I mentioned it a while back and there was virtual unanimous agreement for it. It is

0% right = 5 points for the provider
1% - 10% = 4 points
11% - 30% = 3 points
31% - 50% = 2 points
over 50% - 1 point

Hopefully this will do a few things
1. Get more people to supply pics (they don't HAVE to be rude folks... just remember, no faces)
2. Get people to be more sneaky with what they send in
3. Create tactical voting (also remember providers... voting for someone else bumps down your % and helps you)
4. Adds another element and makes it more interesting
5. Speeds up the points scoring and hopefully encourages more people to play

But again.... I do need help. In pics and names I can use.

If people think it's begging or bullying, I'm sorry.... It's not meant to be, it's just stating a simple fact..... that without co-operation it won't survive. If it doesn't, I truly don't mind... as it's lasted a LOT longer and been more popular than I could ever have imagined and I'm already proud of what it's been.

All I am saying is... if you DO want it to survive... don't all rely on others to help. :eek:

I for one want the thread to continue...and it could be interesting if people come up with 'unusual' pics to try and fool everyone...pity you've already had my chicken one...I could have been rolling in points :D

I've not been playing very long but it is a fun thread. Out of the 12 guesses I've made I managed to get 5 points..... so I'd love to see how I do starting a round at the beginning.

But I can also see how you might be having a bit of burn out.... it takes time and effort to run a game like this. So whatever you decide will be fine by me. Thanks for all the work you've done so far. :rose:

I love this thread and check on it often :) I will stop being slack and take some photos for you to use (I've been thinking now and then that I should) and I'll see if I can round up some of my friends that are on here that don't participate, to do so! :)

I really appreciate all your effort DB, I think its awesome that you do this for our amusement. You're the best! (even if I only made it to 7! :p)
