Who Invented Palestinian Nationalism and Why? | Explained

IT'S NOT GOING AWAY. The Pals are never going to grow content with the occupation, and they are never going to emigrate en masse. So long as the OTs remain so, there's gonna be trouble.

🙄

The questions were ALWAYS about the identities of the casualties and their affiliation with Hamas (from this quarter, anyway).

And Hamas was estimated to have 30,000 frontline fighters before 10/7, with their ranks swelling after the "success" of Hamas’ ACTUAL genocidal pogrom which occurred on 10/7.

When one considers the likelihood that many Hamas fighters and those affiliated with them were targeted (outside of the population of OVER TWO MILLION GAZANS), the death toll seems proportional.

Now if Israel had killed even a quarter of a million Gazans, then the "Israeli genocidal pogrom" narrative would have a bit MOAR legitimacy…, but they didn’t…, so…

😑

Hope that ^ helps.

No, that's not who they are.

Yasser Arafat: Connections to the KGB
by Ion Mihai Pacepa

Before I defected to America from Romania, leaving my post as chief of Romanian intelligence, I was responsible for giving Arafat about $200,000 in laundered cash every month throughout the 1970s. I also sent two cargo planes to Beirut a week, stuffed with uniforms and supplies. Other Soviet bloc states did much the same....

I was given the KGB's "personal file" on Arafat. He was an Egyptian bourgeois turned into a devoted Marxist by KGB foreign intelligence. The KGB had trained him at its Balashikha special-ops school east of Moscow and in the mid-1960s decided to groom him as the future PLO leader. First, the KGB destroyed the official records of Arafat's birth in Cairo, replacing them with fictitious documents saying that he had been born in Jerusalem and was therefore a Palestinian by birth.

The KGB's disinformation department then went to work on Arafat's four-page tract called "Falastinuna" (Our Palestine), turning it into a 48-page monthly magazine for the Palestinian terrorist organization al-Fatah. Arafat had headed al-Fatah since 1957. The KGB distributed it throughout the Arab world and in West Germany, which in those days played host to many Palestinian students....

Arafat was an important undercover operative for the KGB. Right after the 1967 Six Day Arab-Israeli war, Moscow got him appointed to chairman of the PLO. Egyptian ruler Gamal Abdel Nasser, a Soviet puppet, proposed the appointment. In 1969 the KGB asked Arafat to declare war on American "imperial-Zionism" during the first summit of the Black Terrorist International, a neo-Fascist pro-Palestine organization financed by the KGB and Libya's Moammar Gadhafi. It appealed to him so much, Arafat later claimed to have invented the imperial-Zionist battle cry. But in fact, "imperial-Zionism" was a Moscow invention, a modern adaptation of the "Protocols of the Elders of Zion," and long a favorite tool of Russian intelligence to foment ethnic hatred. The KGB always regarded anti-Semitism plus anti-imperialism as a rich source of anti-Americanism....

In March 1978 I secretly brought Arafat to Bucharest for final instructions on how to behave in Washington. "You simply have to keep on pretending that you'll break with terrorism and that you'll recognize Israel -- over, and over, and over," Ceausescu told him for the umpteenth time....

Mr. Pacepa was the highest ranking intelligence officer ever to have defected from the former Soviet bloc. The author of "Red Horizons" (Regnery, 1987), he is finishing a book on the origins of current anti-Americanism.

what occupation? the west bank was part of Jordan and the Gaza was part of Egypt. Why are Egypt and Jordan not complaining about the occupation of their former Governorates?

Because they renounced their claims years ago.

Face it: Israel can't have the LAND without the PEOPLE. You have to give them a REASON to be loyal to Israel.

i forgot.... they relinquished those claims Egypt give up Gaza in the 1970s, Jordan give up their claims to the West Bank back in 1988.

so you admitted that those lands controlled by Egypt and Jordan from 1949-1967.

explain why nobody was calling for the creation of an independent Palestinian state during those 18 years?

I can explain! Because Jordan already was an independent Palestinian state and had been since 1947. They got most of Mandatory Palestine.

Calls for an independent Palestinian state today are really calls for an extra Palestinian state in addition to the one that already exists.

Because they were satisfied with Egyptian/Jordanian rule

Which raised the both legitimate and urgent question of why they are NOT satisfied with Israeli rule.

That settlement still left a lot of non-Israelis under Israeli rule. There WILL be trouble until that changes. This is not a problem that will go away. The Pals will not leave the OTs and will not be satisfied under Israeli rule.

because they were brainwashed by yassar arafat an Egyptian who with the KGB and the Muslim brotherhood created the Palestinian lie to destroy Israel.

They could not be so easily swayed if they did not have urgent legitimate grievances.

"legitimate" grievance which was not there when Jordan and Egypt annexed the West Bank and the Gaza 1949-1967 but started in the 1960s with the help of the Soviet Union and the Muslim Brotherhood. after Israel defeated the Arab countries that tried to destroy Israel during the 1967 war

That makes their grievances no less legitimate -- and THEY know that, which is what matters. Palestinian nationalism IS NOT GOING AWAY until the OTs either are independent, or annexed by Israel and their people made voting citizens. There is NO third possibility for peace.

the KGB CREATED Palestinian movement is not about peace and never was about peace it is about the destruction of Israel

In a March 1977 interview with the Dutch newspaper Trouw, Mohsen made the following remark:[7]

"The Palestinian people does not exist … there is no difference between Jordanians, Palestinians, Syrians, and Lebanese. Between Jordanians, Palestinians, Syrians and Lebanese there are no differences. We are all part of one people, the Arab nation [...] Just for political reasons we carefully underwrite our Palestinian identity. Because it is of national interest for the Arabs to advocate the existence of Palestinians to balance Zionism. Yes, the existence of a separate Palestinian identity exists only for tactical reasons[...] Once we have acquired all our rights in all of Palestine, we must not delay for a moment the reunification of Jordan and Palestine".

the KGB CREATED Palestinian movement is not about peace and never was about peace it is about the destruction of Israel
That doesn't matter. Nothing short of independence or annexation will EVER bring peace.

THAT never happened!

are you retarded?

In July 2000, U.S. President Bill Clinton, Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak, and Chairman of the Palestinian Authority Yasser Arafat gathered at Camp David for final status negotiations to end the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. Taking place after significant breakthroughs, such as the Oslo Accords, as well as setbacks including the assassination of Israeli Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin, the summit represented a unique opportunity to end the conflict and give birth to a new Middle East. Unfortunately, it would end in failure, as Arafat rejected Barak’s offer of an independent Palestinian State, which included east Jerusalem as the capital, “religious sovereignty” over the Temple Mount, and for a symbolic number of Palestinians to enter Israel.

In 2008, Palestinian leadership again rejected a land-for-peace offer. This time Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas rejected Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert’s offer that was comparable to Barak’s during the Camp David Summit in 2000. This deal called for Israel to retain some blocs of Israeli communities beyond the 1949 Armistice lines in exchange for territory in Israel.

In August 2005, the government of Israel, headed by PM Ariel Sharon, carried out the unilateral evacuation of all Israeli villages from the Gaza Strip and the northern West Bank. In response, the Palestinians have been launching missiles and rockets on Israeli towns and villages from the Gaza Strip for years, some of which reaching as far as Tel Aviv.

Instead of using the enormous Israeli concession as an opportunity to achieve peace, the Palestinians used it to empower Iranian-backed terrorist organizations. In June 2007, Hamas took control of the Gaza Strip in a violent coup. Ever since the Hamas takeover, the villages of southern Israel have been subjected to a more-or-less nonstop downpour of rockets and missiles fired from Gaza. The number of rockets/missiles and mortar shells fired into Israel from Gaza since 2007 is in the tens of thousands.
