Who's the best live..

Bruce Juice

welllll ... i guess you could say i have been to a few concerts ... yikes ... i couldn't begin to count ... and i have loved many ...

BUT i always have a soft spot in my heart for Bruce Springsteen ... i've seen him 4 times in concert .. missed the last tour though ...

the first time i fell in love with Bruce was when he played my home town in 1980 for The River tour. when he sang The River, I cried .. i felt he was singing the lyrics for me .. to me ...

and later i saw Bruce do a duet with Sting of The River for the Human Rights tour (Peter Gabriel also performed) ... fucking amazing ...

The Boss is a story teller .. he speaks well for the everyday man and woman ... like me .. he has the soul of a poet ..

he rocks ... and the E Street Band are a legend on their own :) ... he put on marathon concerts where all his fans know the words to all his songs and sing with him .. and some have complicated lyrics like Thunder Road, say, and the fans are singing every word with him ...

i have kinda a funny story .. when I saw the Boss for the Born in the USA tour (which I know was a commercial time for him lol) .. i actually ran to the front of the stage, passed the guards and almost touched his hand .. i was reaching out .. and the guards pulled me away ... i am such a fucking groupie lol .. there i said it .. :)

everyone at a Springsteen show feels happy and close to Bruce because he feels very close to the audience i think ..

I wrote an erotic story about Bruce which I am waiting to be published here on literotica. A friend of mine gave me a tape of the actual The River concert I was at .. in my hometown .. i know .. how lucky, eh? .. and there is a cool rap about when Little Steven and he met Clarence Clemons ... and that is what my story is about .. :)

PUNK RULES!!! Hey Ho Lets Go, Thumper!!!!!

Okay, Thumper, me and you babe! ggggggggrrrrrrrrrr
Maybe togher we can talk Joey and the rest of the Ramones to give us one more concert or *be still my heart!* one more TOUR. The last thing they put out, the CD and video in a box set: I got ALL the autographs on the cover!! From the first song I ever heard by them, I was HOOKED and they still make me react the same way. I remember once getting in line for tickets to see them hours and hours before the box office was to open *always love to do that*, just me, a book to read, and my 7 month old son in a stroller. Course, nobody knew that my son had always been lullabied to sleep by the Ramones. Would them understand? Naaaaaaaaaaaahhhh.

I remember Johnny saying that they used to practice standing in front of mirrors. "Just keep looking into the mirror; THAT is what the audience should see: YOU performing for THEM. THATS what they came to see; You, not the side of you, the back of you, you playing to Jackie,,they came to be performed TO. We owe it to them." What a guy!!!

I have some really great pics of Joey. The stage was about as high as my armpits and Joey kept standing right in front of me; I was able to lean on the stage and take pictures of Joey from the crotch up; VERY interesting pictures. After one of their last songs, Joey reached down, stroked my hair, and caressed my face. <THUD.....dead faint>

Where are you at Thumper. Maybe we could get together one day and have a Ramone and lust fest. Sounds REAL good to me, babe. Especially the lust part. Anyone who's a Ramone fan to the depth of their soul is someone I HAVE to meet!!!!!

*big smile @ Thumper, and licking my lips*

slugs and fishes and breaking plastic dishes

Forever,

Whoa Suzy!! Keep your cream cheese off my Thumpies bagel!! Only my Hunny belongs anywhere near my Thumpie!!

Umm...this is going to sound so totally fucked up, but here it is anyway...

I think all the concerts I went to were in the 80's, so ummm...grrrrr...

Survivor...surprised my friends by my vast knowledge of their songs...

Bon Jovi...woo-hoo!!! I think I saw them about 8 times...LOL...

Poison and Warrant

Whitesnake

Guns 'n Roses (I knew them before they were on top of the world...LOL)

Motley Crue

Def Leppard and Ugly Kid Joe

INXS...ummm...no, not good, but it was cool watching the lesbians behind us make out...heehee

Dolly Parton...honest, I only went to see Sammy Kershaw, but she was great!! He was spectacular...my sister and I were the only people in the place who knew of him, at the time. It was the state fair and we were freaking over him during his whole set...I think he waved at us about a zillion times...we may have converted some of the old-timers to the sounds of "new country music".

PFR...formerly known as Pray For Rain...well, you may or may not know of them. They were a local christian rock group out of Minneapolis. We saw them about 6 times in the same week....LOL....total hotties, but all married...damn it!!!

and NKOTB...but I didn't go for them honestly...I had to chaperone, and ummm...it was just hilarious, because I was the only person in the place old enough to actually date them...hahahaha...

ok...there's a dozen or so more, but I'm too beat to come up with them.

Hey Chef..I saw Floyd doing The Wall concert, by and far the best thing I've ever been to.

Isabella.....BRUUUUUUUUCE.......Bruce is everyman, always gives 150%, seen him tons of times, and was at the concert for the "Jersey Girl" single.

Suzy.....Nice Zappa ref with the name......Ramones were great.....they were always on that late night talk show...Flo & Eddie = great shows......

Other great shows:

Ronnie Lanr ARMS concert
U2 Joshua Tree
Stevie Ray Vaughn....every show was incredable
Joe Cocker...what a suprise...kicked some ass
The Who....Tommy tour
OZZy...Billazrd of Oz tour w/ Randy Rhoades
Paul McCartney...
Deep Purple Reunion Tour for Perfect Strangers
Elton John solo piano tour last year

Thats all I can think of right now...

James...

Believe it or not Andy over in the land of OZ that is the only song that I have heard!

Who was that who thought that alanis was good! When I saw her (Oct 96) The whole concert was so structured it wasn't funny... even the stuff she did during the encore was preplanned.

No nikki haven't seen the Angels live or AC/DC unfortunately but Mum and Dad used to hang out with Angus and Malcolm at the start of them getting really famous.

Da chef

Food fight!!!!!

...over me even! hehehehehehehe

*ducks cream cheese ball zipping through the air but gets nailed by a bagel as he looks up*

Hmmm wonder what I can use this bagel for?

OK Hunny no fighting...there is enough of me to go around!

..and around and around and around...get some Dew and we will all make up...Maybe Siren will bring some carrots...

Hey Isabella....come over here and help me calm these two down!

SW Ohio Suzy...

*singing* "Suzy...Oh Suzy! You sure look good to me!"

Sorry BunnyBoy but you may have to steal me back from Bobtoad on Sirens 1000th post thread!!

OK....and what do I do for an encore???

How "hard" do I have to fight???? hehehehehe

I think I can take him....but let's make it fair! Hey Isabella can you handcuff me???
*I knew I would find a way to get myself handcuffed with Hunny and Isabella*

YES!!!!

Hi Suzy , Wow what a list I've only seen about half a dozen of those bands. But what a first gig Alice Cooper never had the chance to see him.

My first gig was 27th of august (my birthday) 83 , I saw Thin Lizzy for the first and last time it was there last u.k gig with Phil Lynot ,another great bass player sadly missed R.I.P. Phil. Thin lizzy where the first band I really got into and to have been able to see them before they split was amazing that night they rocked what away to spend my 15th birthday .Before Phil's death he had started touring with his new band Grand Slam playing small venues ,they played the local college where I live and when I actually got to meet him after the gig it blew me away , he truly was a great musician .

Oh I agree sex and live music is awesome .Havin sex in a field as 60,000 people were cheering on Van Halen.

Laurel is that Tricky the DJ cause he's brilliant on the deck's if it's the same one.
What about Metallica's new project......
"Live on stage with Metallica ... Weird Al Jankovic and his accordion"

Hi Ron , Got the chance to see R.E.M when they played at the Mcalpine stadium in Huddersfield I was not into them but after seeing them live I know appreciate them.

Hi Dionysus , never seen or really heard much New Model Army but I enjoyed the pogues
Yes the local scene is great seeing bands before they make it , the small clubs packed and everyone going wild , hard and loud.

Hey Flashlight I better get checking some of these band's out I never heard of any . I could imagine the whole Bowie experience has been stunning.

Hello Isabelle , I only really know the "Born in the U.S.A " Bruce Springstein not any of his other record's . I'am so sorry for sinning *big hug* as compensation.

That's it - we're all gonna have to take Rosebud to a concert. Who do you wanna see, baby?

Any group of the 80's. Hard Rock preferred. I am not that picky, I just want to see a concert, after the concert can we go to Rocky Horror Picture show? I have never seen that either. *lowering head in shame*

Andy, you sexy brit!
Imagine going to your first concert, age 12, and seeing this GOD get his head chopped off on a guillitine *sp?*? And seeing him again only the next time he gets hanged from a scaffold? Too fucking cool!! How could I ever resist him? I couldn't. When I was a young teen, my mom used to go nucking futs over my "infatuation"; said she couldn't WAIT until I grew up. But, know what? Here I am at age 40 and STILL going to his concerts whenever he performs, poor mom!!! she just laughs and said I always was the stubborn one. Alice has a club in Phoenix, Az, called Cooperstown, *a place where Jocks and Rocks come to meet* where he often shows up and "smoozes" with the crowd. One of these days.......course on that day, I'll probably turn into a puddle and lose all ability to form a complete sentence.

You need to come to my house and watch Rocky Horror, Rosebud. A man who looks that good in makeup, platforms, a corset and fishnet stockings? Simply irresistible---I had to buy the movie. Popcorn and beer will be provided; you have to bring your own "toys" though, if you use them.

And, no insult intended, but I don't fight a woman over a man; I would never treat another woman that way. I have way too much respect for females, and, well, as cute as you may be.........

"You're breaking my heart, your tearing me apart, so FUCK YOU. All I want to do is have a good time, now I'm blue....You stomped on my heart and broken my glasses, too, oooohhhhh....." Can anybody name the guy who sang this? It was playing during the break at my first concert. *wink* Just a little trivia quiz for ya.

Slugs and fishes and frustrated with unbreakable dishes,

FYI to Rosebud

The quote after my name is from a song from The Rocky Horror Picture Show. Thought you might like to know.

Anybody keeping you smiling, Andy? Just curious. I do think we could find a lot to....ummmmm.....talk about, love.

Hi all sorry it's taken me so long to reply been busy. so on we go.:)

Hi Sammyjo, Nice to meet ya for some reason never got to see Whitesnake live but did manage to see Def Leppard a few time's the last been Rick Allan's first gig on his own playing drum's after his accident and it's was a outstanding performance.

Hi ya Blue , I bet the Blizzard of Oz tour was something else especially with Randy Rhodes R.I.P. a great guitarist I think that the Blizzard of Oz album is Ozzy's best and "flying high again" is brilliant.
I too saw U2 on the Joshua Tree tour and was amazed by how good they were the Perfect Strangers tour was when I saw Deep Purple I got the year wrong I said 85 I think it was 87 is that right?

I'm just glad you enjoyed it Nicole *big hug*
