Sorry if I stirred up, I answered in fun only and still don't really see what the big deal was. I think it was kind of clever and I don't feel like anyone was pitted against each other. Being a 'student and observier of people' I find it especially fascinating what connections people saw that weren't there when they were looking. (like a friend of mine commenting that my dad -really my step dad- have the same chin, or that my son looks 'just like' my boyfriend)

Ok, I'll have my one clear and final say on this.

You all wanna know why it pissed me off? I would've thought that would be clear, but apparently not.

This all started up when I was using my alt, Shock Chick (the bitch! Ha-bloody-ha, eh? ). Ahem, anyway, it was fun at the beginning. Abs and me were playing the detective, then Charley joined it. All good fun.

That was until TV announced that she'd been having us on, and she wasn't in fact someone we already knew. It wasn't the fact she'd been having us on that got to me. That would also have been fun, had she said she'd done it for a laugh and left it at that.

However, she went on to explain she'd done it to teach me a friggin lesson. WTF?

<rant>

This pissed me off for several reasons...

1. Is it not blatantly fucking obvious that Shock Chick is me? Look at the AV, look at the location, read the things "she" says.

2. Who the fuck does TV think she is anyway? I NEVER did it to wind up new people to this board. I never sign in as Shocky to confuse anyone. In fact, I rarely use that alt. My reasons sure as hell aren't for deception.

3. I've never liked arrogance in a person.

4. Hypocrisy also stinks.

5. I never mean anyone any harm, quite the opposite, in fact. I guess that's the thing that really got under my skin.

I totally agree with Lou here, from an outsider's point of view.

If TV had said it was a joke, then ha ha ha all would have had a good laugh.

That said, I can see where things went wrong with TV's testimony about deliberate confusion. Wake up and smell the coffee... sorry, but some people have alternate nicks for a reason. For board usage, different writing styles, what ever their personal reasons. Hardly for deception!! Most know who they are, regardless of what nick they slap against their persona.

I think a few apologies are in order here to restore calm.

You're all too nice to be this irate, and I'm only new to the board and can see that. A few threads I've seen on here of late have stirred up a lot of contraversy (does American politics affect you, comes to mind...).

TV, it was a joke gone wrong. Admit it, apologise, so we can all move on.

She/he is truly sorry and would hope that it can also be fixed with time and forgiveness. So look back and you can seehis/her final statements, (not the earlier attempts to apologize) and you can see that a group hug is all that is needed.
