When I discovered the forums last year I was really impressed with the amount of information, variety of topics, and quality of most of the posts in How To. I stuck around to learn, and registered when I had a question and found several threads I felt I could contribute to. I felt very comfortable and more welcome than I did in some of the other forums. I also loved the topics and started using them to spark conversations with my husband, and our relationship and sex life started improving dramatically. I figured continuing to participate in How To could only help us more.

I stick around for many of the same reasons, but mainly because I am constantly learning, thinking, and I feel there are a lot of quality people who frequent this forum. I like the mix of topics and generally respectful on-track conversation. I lurk and post sometimes in other forums, but this one just seems to fit my style best.

It's a nice spot, kind of like you're at a big party and you come across a quiet little group or place - it isn't as loud or busy and you can stop to enjoy and interact with others without having to shout over the noise.

So far my iggy list is non existent.
That`s always struck me as weird, telling someone you are putting them on ignore, what`s the point, just do it and forget them. Many seem to take great delight in telling people though, even to the point of replying to them when they post.

I can't explain it.

I used to think that putting someone on ignore was kinda petty, but I've found that there can be perfectly legitimate reasons (other than utter hatred for someone else) for doing so. Sure did clean up the boards for me.

Why are you an HT regular?

First and foremost, i'm a Literotica 'regular' regardless of which section of the forum i might choose to post my opinions. i do spend a whole lot MORE time posting in the BDSM sections, though.

Do you feel like you're especially good at giving advice?

It always depends upon the subject for which any advice is needed. Most times any sound advice i may be capable of offering is based on my own experiences with any given subject. Ask me about scat, or sex between homosexuals & i am clueless due to my lack of experience regarding either subject. Ask me about how to give an amazing blowjob, waxing, or how to do HTML etc ect .... & i have good advice to give.

Like the other people on this board?

i'm really not all that familiar with others who post to this board.

Basically, why do you keep coming here?

Many times in my life i've received good advice on many subjects from many indiviuals. When i have good advice to offer ... i offer it. It's a form of 'pay it back'.

I used to post here on a semi-regular basis. r/l interfered, but I'd like to
think I'm back. I see alot of new names... guess I need to try and fit in all over again.

I don't know that I'm especially "good" at giving advice... I just do my best to help someone in need when their need falls into an area that I have experience in. Otherwise, I just try to encourage them and let them know they're in my thoughts and prayers.

I keep coming here because the HT Cafe lacks the drama and bs of the GB, and yes, the playground. The people here just seem more "real", down-to-earth, accepting and friendlier than other forums. The GB and the PG seem (to me anyway) to be at wacky opposite ends, and I've found myself backing off quite a bit in the PG, after a situation there pretty much threw me for a loop recently. The HT is like a safe haven... things are more "sane" here... more real. I like it here and the people, and I hope they like me too
