Why can't I have a avatar?

I have the 100 posts.
When I look in User CP, edit avatar. There is no option for me to upload my custom avatar or any avatar at all.
does anyone know what is wrong?

I tried what was in the thread silverwhisper and it didn't seem to work. I tried Internet Explorer and Firefox.

well, that's pretty weird. i know that mozilla sometimes does wacky stuff w/ its cached data but that generally isn't true as often of IE, IMX. when you open up your user profile, is the edit avatar option even active?

if it isn't, then that's probably something you should PM a mod about.
if it is, could you describe what you see there and compare to my description of what i see.

large box, labeled edit avatar, containing 2 smaller boxes.
small box 1, labeled your current avatar.
small box 2, labeled custom avatar.

small box 2 has a radio button, to select the option use custom avatar, a field for the URL of the avatar (if hosted on another site), and a second field for a full filename and path for uploading an image from your machine.

what do you see?

okay well out of no-where, the custom avatar screen as appeared. I guess it was just a forum delay or something as it was about 30minutes ago I hit the 100 mark.

Others found it did work but for some reason not right at 100, one recent poster got it to work after 130 - 140 posts.

Sometimes rather than it being a general cookie that isn't working it is a specific one, try going into your User CP / Setting & Options / Edit Avatar page, then hit the refresh button an your browser to load a new copy into your cache.

I have had some trouble with cached copies in the past and this has often resolved the issues for me.

Well something worked (I had not read post above where she saw it appear before I made my two posts), she is showing a sexy AV on my computer now!

you know what's ironic? i have all graphics turned off, so i actually had to open up her profile to see what it is. and boy, am i glad i did! :>
