If you can’t see it’s totally misleading, and makes a claim you can’t back up, thenIt's an illustrative example that people can easily grasp. It isn't intended to be arithmetically correct and no one has claimed to be misled by it.
I think that I have seen you use those (illustrative examples) a time or two yourself.
I’m applying @StillStunned’s rule - when someone is wrong and won’t accept it, state your case twice and then move on.
