Why I don't miss having a real winter

Thanks! :D

(I'll try to remember that. ;) )

For C to F, much simpler to divide the C by 5, multiply the result by 9 and add the 32.

For F to C, take away the 32, divide the remainder by 9, and multiply by 5.

Easy.

I am constantly doing it in my head, because I still think in F, although everything over here is in C. Damn nuisance for people of my generation.

C X 1.8 + 32 = F

2 X 1.8 = 3.6
3.6 + 32 = 35.6 :D

I don't do algebraic equations, but your av always looks to me, at first glance, like the penguin is urinating.

Sorry to be such a disappointment. :(

I'm a maths/figures nut. I love them. My best and most favourite subject at school.....next to art. And I also started a maths degree with the ou, but had to pull out simply because my personal circumstances prevented me keeping up with the work. I may go back to it another time.

Don't be silly! You're not a disappointment! I was kidding with ya. Now stop that sad face. :p

I started a law degree with the OU ( ), but gave mine up for similar reasons. I did two years, but would have to start again, if I ever wanted to, because, to obtain a law degree, you have to complete it within six years. Ho hum, I don't think I was cut out for it anyway. And, I couldn't be open to scandal of any kind. ;)

A lot of people become very intimidated by someone who is comfortable with maths....especially a woman who is comfortable with maths. I was actually being greedy, having already achieved one degree with the OU.

OK. Sad face gone. :)

You should go back to the law, but I suppose an alterntive life-style/writing porn might not be too conducive to that career.

For those non maths people:

Temperature converter

Hey, Al, that convertor doesn't work. It won't convert negative temperatures. And, when we are talking about winter weather, we are talking about negative temperatures.:(

It will compute to a negative temperature, however.
