Why Liberals Don’t Understand Conservatives

^^still failing to understand your opinion of me doesn't matter to me

But please, keep telling me about it....it's really valuable to someone, I'm sure.

I understand that you believe you're "above it all." Let me assure you that not only are you not, you don't really believe it either because it's an untenable position.

But you do you and post more nonsense.

I understand that you believe you're "above it all." Let me assure you that not only are you not, you don't really believe it either because it's an untenable position.
Yes, you feel that you're important and that should matter to me.

But you do you and post more.
Thanks for your permission, sparky. 👍

Yes, you feel that you're important and that should matter to me.

You should matter to you.

When you act like you can sail in here and just be a jackwagon because it pleases you, that damages you. Not only in our eyes, but in yours as well.

Deny it all you want, it's how things work and you'd do yourself a favor if you stopped being a jackwagon on the interweebles.

But you won't. You're too invested in red paint and solid rubber wheels.

You should matter to you.
Are you selling self help books?

Lol

When you act like you can sail in here and just be a jackwagon because it pleases you, that damages you. Not only in our eyes, but in yours as well.
What you see is your own issue...I'm not here to perform for anyone.

Deny it all you want, it's how things work and you'd do yourself a favor if you stopped being a jackwagon on the interweebles.
Projection

But you won't. You're too invested in red paint and solid rubber wheels.
Your entire schtick is projection.

You don't like me....I get it. Simple enough, put me on ignore and don't interact. It's not my job to be your friend or have some discussion about your horseshit when I don't feel the need. Nobody owes you anything.

I don't give a fuck about your l"ife lessons" that you believe I need. Your.ego is your own issue.

You don't like me....I get it.

No, you don't. This is because I don't know you and therefore have zero fucks to give about you, good or bad.

Now you will post and say the same, as if that justifies your continued obstinance regarding reality, without considering what my true reason for being here might possibly be.

Also; you should review your posts over time. Notice the trend of a downward spiral. Despite your claims that you don't give a fuck, it's still all on you.

No, you don't. This is because I don't know you and therefore have zero fucks to give about you, good or bad.
lol....of course
I don't like you. Your behavior here is enough for me to say that.

Now you will post and say the same, as if that justifies your continued obstinance regarding reality, without considering what my true reason for being here might possibly be.
Surprise!
I don't give a fuck why you're here.

lol....of course
I don't like you. Your behavior here is enough for me to say that.

My behavior here is nothing on which to judge a man yet you use it to spew hatred and sow discontent upon yourself.

Surprise!
I don't give a fuck why you're here.

So you say. The question that remains is that if those whom you don't like aren't here, are you going to be the only one left? Because rest assured that eventually you will come to hate everyone other than yourself for the simple reason that they aren't you and therefore don't agree with you 100% of the time. It's inevitable.

Lol... I'm not required to judge people in a manner that suits your preference.

So you say. The question that remains is that if those whom you don't like aren't here, are you going to be the only one left?
Neat!

It's great that you're getting your feelings out about me. Perhaps this will help you work through these emotions.

Who needs therapy, am I right?

You’re speaking from personal experience, no?
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

What a bitter little turd you are. 💩

Please take your own advice and spare us of you.

Many liberals, though, have trouble comprehending conservatives. In his studies of liberals and conservatives reported in The Righteous Mind, NYU-Stern Business School professor Jonathan Haidt found that liberals – particularly the “very” liberal – were consistently worse than conservatives at predicting how the other side would respond to various moral questions. “When faced with questions such as ‘One of the worst things a person could do is hurt a defenseless animal’ or “Justice is the most important requirement for a society,’ liberals assumed that conservatives would disagree.”

This failure to “get” conservatives may be due to the liberal suspicion that selfishness and bigotry are the real motivations behind conservatism. That unsympathetic perception creates a communication blockage. If the liberal is hearing nothing more than an attempt to justify selfishness and bigotry, why continue listening? What more is there to “get”? As the New York Times book review of The Righteous Mind explained:

This hostility to conservatism is apparent in almost any liberal attempt to explain it. “Conservatism is a type of motivated social cognition,” explains Salon magazine, “that by its very nature is hostile to members of groups on the lower rungs of the social hierarchy.” A PolicusUSA headline declared in 2013 (ie, pre-Trump) “Today’s Republicans are Yesterday’s Fascists.”

Writer George Lakoff, in an article entitled “Why the Conservative Worldview Exalts Selfishness,” explains that conservatives believe being rich is a reflection of moral superiority, while poverty is a sign of morally inferiority; in other words, that the poor deserve their poverty. Which is an argument I’ve heard before, but never from an actual conservative.

Maybe he didn’t intend to be taken literally, but prominent New York theater critic Michael Feingold (formerly of the Village Voice) has this to say about Republicans:

These angry liberals think they do “get” conservatives: Conservatives are selfish bigots. This perception not only stands in the way of comprehending conservatives, it leads almost inevitably to the current nationwide “shut down conservatives” movement. It is why libertarian writer Charles Murray was shouted down and roughed up at Middlebury College in 2017, and why colleges continually “disinvite” such speakers as columnist George Will, writer Ayaan Hirsi Ali, former secretary of State Condoleeza Rice, and anyone else who deviates from the liberal narrative.

In fact, most libertarians and conservatives care about the poor, about minorities, about the environment, about education. There are non-selfish, non-bigoted, non-stupid reasons for holding conservative views. Most conservatives are decent people with whom liberals are simply in disagreement. It would help if at least that much was understood.
You just don't get it.

Liberals UNDERSTAND conservatives.

It is not at all difficult.

Our minds CONTAIN yours.

No thought CAN occur to you that has not already occurred to every liberal.

why liberals never understood conservatives

well in my opinion it is because most of them are evangelicals protestians christians and healers like the lovejoys the flanders benny hinn and jimmy swaggle

and also because most of them wants to have or likes to have sports teams style family sizes like 3 to 15 kids

while the liberals are like the total oppiside of almost everything conservative

Swing voters, the people who decide elections, generally don't care about labels and principles. They vote for candidates they consider most likely to get shit done. Some swing voters might occasionally wander in and see the conduct of partisans here.

Liberals think a pickup truck is a political statement, not a tool that hauls lumber, gravel, and occasionally dignity. They think “freedom” is something granted by experts, rather than something you already have until someone messes with it.

;)

I was poised (!) to compliment you on Haidt reference -- then u take him out of context

1) His categories are non-normative: no right answer
2) The single largest predictor of progressive or conservative is openness to new experience (for the left). Please don't fantasize in public about open-mindedness of MAGA
3) THERE'S NOTHING CONSERVATIVE ABOUT TRUMP
