Being "The Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West."
Just finished this. Anyone else ever read it? damn. It was great. I live 15 minutes from the birthplace of L. Frank "freaking" Baum and hate the Wizard of Oz. Too much of anything goes a long way, sorry.
This book, which I picked up at library on a whim, was incredible. Well written, gives a whole new viewpoint to pukey Dorothy and the whole story. I know, as an American I am suppose to be infatuated with the whole thing. Forgive me, can't be. But this has given me a whole new outlook on it. Highly recommended to anyone, even if you like the Wizard of Oz.
It is also a great public commentary on society, segregation, integration, government, military. He covers it all. am about to search for more items by this man.
