JAKE
Jaime slid down the wall, back on her own two feet. The spell Jake had over her, however fleeting, was broken. Jake was left wondering if indeed he had ever been in control after all. On reflection he doubted it. Jaime tossed the Kleenex at him cavalierly, with a smirk on her face. She was back in control. Jake felt the now familiar sinking feeling in the pit of his stomach. He was suddenly embarrassed by his appearance, maybe it was because of the way Jaime was leering at him. He flushed red, and she saw him.
He cleaned up quickly, and got ready to leave. They headed for the door when Jake remembered to scoop up Jaime's torn panties. He stuffed them inside his suit coat pocket. As they left the office they walked past the client. Jamie led eyes forward long strides leading them to the meeting room. Luckily the rep and the owner were oblivious to what had happened so close by. The accountant, a tall vivacious red head silently laughed as Jake strode past. Well, perhaps they had been noticed after all!
The remainder of the day, they went from meeting to meeting. Jake said nothing except when directly asked. Jaime was her usual confident, bombastic, larger than life self. She made quick but keen decisions all day. She made agendas and assigned work to everyone including Jake as if she were the person they had to support. Jake had to admit, she was sheer genius in action. In a strange way, Jake got hot again for her, there was nothing like the combination of beauty and brains. With aplomb and nerve she convinced Terry to go to bat assigning her the account. He gave in, happily.
The main action item was to find a way to get in front of the People's bank CIO equivalent. Communist China was still a vast slow moving bureaucracy any chance they had of getting a visa soon was nil. That was out. At the end of the day Jake took a call from the IBM Beijing office. A smile lit up his face. When Jaime finally got off the phone he grinned at her and said -
"Seems that out CIO friend is going out of the country looking at the best practices of another large bank. In Thailand. Are you up for a trip to Bangkok?"
