Just landed - a long trip, but everybody can now feel much safer than the day I took office. There is no longer a Nuclear Threat from North Korea. Meeting with Kim Jong Un was an interesting and very positive experience. North Korea has great potential for the future!

It's a negotiated beginning. There are questions yet to be answered that only the next few months will answer. Kim will either take down his nuclear capability or America is going to destroy it and his regime with it. But, that aside, there are ways this can be done without going to war and incentives are helpful in moving things along. A successful negotiation is one in which both sides can walk away with something.

Kim wants to survive. He can do so with complete verifiable denuclearization. He can choose a better path for himself and his people. He can forswear communism and open free markets, expand personal liberty and become the founding father of a richer more viable society, or he can continue along the present path and watch himself and his society become a footnote to military history.
