World War II: Behind Enemy Lines (OOC)

OK let's compromise. Cherubian, why don't you slip away and as the CO Raphael will tell them to let you be as you are just one soldier and that they now have a captain

Let's not correct one rather implausible scene - at least a dozen soldiers sneaking up on us unnoticed after Michaela who is trained in that sort of thing had carefully scanned the surroundings beforehand - with an even more implausible one: Her getting away with at least 8 armed and trigger happy soldiers standing right next to her.

Therefore I would request the following plot adjustment:

Avellan and I get led to the German base for interrogation. We are interrogated separately of course. While Avellan notices that his interrogator DeathsKnight is a rather nice guy Michaela gets some pig of an interrogator who tries to get rather personal. She manages to turn this to her advantage, escapes and brings in the reinforcements.

Sounds acceptable?

Yes. Then Rapheal`s second starts to question and interrigating me for infor on where she is.

Well my second can't really burst in and start to fire off questions without getting severely reprimanded. Or is that actually your plan?

Now you want to be capured?
Also, a German SS wouldn`t get personal with a non-german. It against the Aryan ways and views.

Well not totally true Avelan, some of them would rape non-Aryans as type of "punishment" or some crap like that. So the plan is plausible I'd say

I was going to have it where the second is assigned to me while you finishing up with other duties with the French Resistance. I was the end starts off calmly then my guy baits him and things get out of control. You step in and stop the problem.

There is a difference between "Want" and "Accepting the facts already cemented by the other writers". :)

Also what DeathsKnight said, sexual torture was and is a common interrogation practice with female prisoners.

And you must not confuse "Aryan" with "German". Even Hitler himself did not consider "Aryan" a German exclusive property.

Hmm.. I thought the Russians were the ons who raped Germans, which they did sadly,

I personally think soldiers raping women of occupaid countries was a very common practice all throughout history, and not limited to just some nations.

Wasn't there even some recent case in Irak involving US soldiers?

Well remember that most SS troops was picked due to how pure blooded they were, that is why Raphael is SS in the first place.

OK let's just step back a moment, take a deep breath and look at it this way.

The group that captured you two calls the others over, we all move back into town. Separated interrogation cells, Raphael is the one interrogating the captain, the sergeant is the one interrogating the sniper. He tries to rape her, she finds a way to escape. Raph gets informed and he lets the same sergeant take over and returns just as the sergeant is getting violent with the captain.

How about that one?

Perfect.

Sounds good in general except for a minor detail. Depending on how exactly the scene plays out some other sergeant might have to interrogate the Captain, as the one interrogating Michaela might be permanently incapacitated.

I just do not see her make the same mistake as is often made in the movies, that is to let him live after she overpowered him so he might cause an alarm sooner than necessary.

Ah OK so you want to kill him. OK, but there are bound to be a few sergeants in a detail that is lead by a captain, so just another sergeant will step in to do the interrogation then

I see killing him (or knocking him out, but that would actually be harder to accomplish, and why would she not finish him off after what had just happened) as the only reasonably way for her to get away. If she just slips out of the room he will cry havoc and there is no realistic way she will make it.

Just for historical reason, let us not confuze the ideals that were presented (and survived somehow despite being wrong) and the plain face of truth. The SS were behaving like pigs in general (as I know from surving people). There certainly were some who joined it just because pursuiting their career under given circumstances, and maybe some who sa it was wrong and tried to resist somehow, but they were no such things as heroes.

I second that.

DeathsKnight, I wa wondering, are you going to put up the next post since the Germans have us captured?

Same here. I have to go to work in about 45 minutes. I start work at 11:30 am and get off at 5:00 pm. I`ll be back on by then.

I have to go pick up my sister at the hostel in 3 minutes, so just waiting for a reply and then hop to get there

Who will write about the last minutes in the life of Oberscharführer Lufte?
