World War II: Behind Enemy Lines (OOC)

Review

1.) American forces drop all across France in preparation for D-Day and the battle of Normandy. One particular group miss their target, the city of Calais, by a few miles. Luckly casualties a low, but many troops are missing and the Americans are disorganized, low on supplies (Mainly ammunition), and unsure what to do.

2.) Mike and Michaela group up, but are captured by Germans.

3.) Iska, and her comrades, are headed towards Calais, to trained the members of the French Resistance. They meet up with Salima and begin to plan out what to do next.

4.) Lipton, Nixion, Richard, and John (NPC American troops) group up and head towards where they think Calais lies. They stumble upon a lost Russian sniper.

5.) Mike and Michaela are taken to the German base. Mike is interrigated. Michaela is almost raped but she manages to escape and meets up with Iska and Salima.

6.) Iska, Salima, and Michaela devise a plan to attack the Germans, free Mike, and hopefully capture a German so as to learn any information. Salima blows up an imprtant structure, distracting the Germans, which gives Iska and her men the drop on the Germans.

7.) Lipton and the others, hearing the explosion and the sounds of fighting, rush towards the sound. They flank the Germans and, thanks to the assisstance from the Russians, enter the base and free Mike.

8.) Iska captures Gurber, a Nazi SS and high ranking officer, then heads off towards the city of Calais along with Salima.

9.) Mike, and his troops, soon head towards the city and eventually arrive at the American base camp. There they meet up with General Conner, get resupplied, and are ordered to meet up with the French Resistance and bring the Russians to the camp.

10.) Salima and Iska, along with her troops, arrive at the French Resistace's hideout where they begin to question Gurber. The American troops arrive shortly afterword.

11.) Soon everyone heads off back towards the American camp where they meet General Conner. General Conner explains the situation, offers helps, yells at some people.. the usual bullshit that comes from Generals with large egos.

12.) Nathan, a Canadian, arrives at the camp looking for Mike. Mike heads towards the medical tent.

That's it. If I missed anything important, tell me and I'll fix it.

I get that Mike Addams, who does knew Salima from some years ago in Hollywood, has went into the medical tent. Who was Alan Winters again, or is he a new character?

Opps.. did I put Alan Winters somewhere. Sorry. Alan Winters is from another thread. I meant Mike Adams. There is no Alan winters. Sorry about the confusion.

Bladesman, I don't mind. We could use more people. And I'm pretty ure that the others wouldn't mind.

Also. Who's still here? The thread is going rather slow and some peopl haven't been posting much, or not really at all.

Assuming the same applies to Me, I've taken the liberty of creaing a character.

Name: Neil Edwards, 24

Occupation: Engineer

Rank: None (civilian contractor)

Nationality: UK (Britain)

Appearance: Fair-haired and tanned, Neil was no average greasemonkey. Standing at a modest 5'11", weighing in at a lean 135, he's not to be taken lightly. Years of hard work and labor have toughened him to the rigors of hard work and fatigue.

Personality: (Yep, we've got another one of u) A classic joker, Neil loves to laugh and pull pranks. Quite loud sometimes, also quite cheery, but he can control himself when needed. (Obviously :3) A good friend, Neil will sometimes throw himself into the line of fire to save those he loves.

History: Raised in the booming industrial district, Neil's father trained him to fix anything with anything. He died/will die (the father) in the Battle Over Britain fighting with the RAF. Left with only his bag of tools, Neil turned to the military to find a meaning to his life. He specializes in jury-rigging up new methods of transportation, such as hotwiring cars and tanks.

Equipment: His trusty Wrench, his bag of tools, a Browning 9mm, a few packets of military rations, water purifying tablets, a telescoping (for lack of better words) scope, mechanical plans, bedroll, backpack, and a teddy bear. (Cos Neil is a big softie on the inside :3)

That's about it. All I can think of so far. If I missed anything, PM or post following. Grazie!

Good. Thought too bad he isn't really military. I love the character idea and I've been waiting for a British character. I have a good idea in how to incorporate him into the thrad so that he joins up with us. Neil can be part of the British Armored Divison that's stuck and surrounded by enemies (Germans). The British are helping with the liberation of Carentan and we come along just in time.

Name: Duncan McManus
Age: 24
Height: 6'4"
Weight: 225
Nationality: Irish
Hair Color: Dark brown
Eye Color: Emerald green

Appearance: He wears a long black leather coat taken off of a Gestapo officer over a black wool sweater and black pants. On his feet are boots stolen off of a British officer that he had killed in Ireland several years before. His dark hair is cropped short so that it stands up and he has a thin scar running down the left side of his face from his scalp to the middle of his cheek from an SS knife. He kept the knife after killing the SS officer with it.

History: After a hefty price was placed on his head by the British crown for his actions in the IRA during the Christmas raid and several subsequent bombings followed by the brutal killings of three British officers and an Irish collaborator Duncan was forced to flee to France to escape. Since the invasion of France, he has been quite busy with several fellow Irishmen making the lives of the Germans hell by any means necessary, though Duncan preferred to slit the throats of the officers.

Two weeks ago though things had changed when Duncan and the other were ambushed outside of a Nazi fuel dump as they attempted to escape before the explosives went off by a platoon of SS soldiers, in the ensuing firefight five of the six other Irishman were killed outright and the last Irishman been shot twice and died as as the explosives went off destroying the fuel dump and most of the platoon of SS with it.

The resulting explosion provided enough confusion and cover for Duncan to escape not to mention a fitting funeral pyre for the other Irishmen.

Equipment: Karbiner 98k. Luger P08 pistol. Four knives of varying length strapped in various places including two in his boots.

Personality: No longer the cheerful Irishman that he had been, Duncan is now the more silent type whose only concern is killing every soldier in the Nazi uniform. Odds are when he is done with the Germans he will return to the IRA and continue his fight against the Brits

Well, I was going to make him a NCO but I didn't know if the British Army rankings differed from the US army rankings. Somethng along the lines of 2nd Lieutenant should suffice.

Also, can we do Operation Market Garden? Pleeeeeeeeease? :3
We could hide after the loss or something. Kinda like in "Band of Brothers" and sneak our way back with precious intel or a prisoner.

Like the character bladesman.
Andaho, I have something like that planned. Something very close. So yes.

I'll have another post up soon. Although I think we should move onto a more active stage soon, rather than just sitting around talking.

Ok, I'm gonna skip ahead a while because no one's really posting and Bladesman has been waiting for a while and I don't want to keep him waiting any longer. I hope that's ok with everyone.

Just remember to state if Raphael will be kept around now that you have a trustworthy German speaking soldier

LOL well then weapons and so on will most probably also get handed to the hapless officer. Sharpshooting time...I hope.

Just waiting for any mention of my Armored Division.

Should I begin posting pre-Operation background? Similar to "Battle Prep"?

I decided to to change my plans a bit. Historically, there was no British Tank Division at Carentan or Cherbourg, but I can make do. Too much research led to me scrapping the complex history and just setting up his rescue. So, as of now, our Engineer is pinned and in desperate need of support. Hint hint.

Also, just to clarify, the others *are* heading to Cherbourg, right? And Carentan... hasn't been capped yet?

They're headed towards Cherbourg.
