The Infinite Layers of The Abyss
Lord Akradrag sat over his throne, a piece heavily carved of the flesh of his own vanquished peers. The Archfiend ruled this entire layer of the plane, and excerted his influence over two others - the upper and the lower one, where his many minions battled those of his new rivals.
He was bored. It had been months since he had left The Abyss, called and summoned by an apprentice that hoped to get rid of her annoying concorrence. Akradrag had raped her corpse after slicing her throat and drinking her blood. He was not a patient being, and to be interrupted of his own lethargy by a less than capable being was nauseous.
The war wasn't going well. After ending Ghargatuloth the Bent, and acquiring almost half of the upper layer, both the Demonlords neighbouring his domains started to pour their own soldiers and creatures over his lands. Akradrag was having no trouble in dispatching them himself, but when absent, they would slowly overwhelm his own demons.
But suddenly, he heard it. A whisper of his name, coming from somewhere far. Too far. An upper place, so far from the Abyss and it's shivering layers. The whisper kept calling him, tiny, female voice that begged for his presence. He disregarded it with a though.
However, the voice started to call his name louder and louder. And more surely. The beg become a demand. Someone, whose power attempted to be sufficiently imposing, called for the Archfiend. He could feel the Words of Power summoning him. And then, he felt it. A wave of delicious bitterness flowed through his entire being. He was being summoned by a pact of blood.
Yes. It is time to leave this hole. Let's see who calls, he though.
