Would age 58 be a turn-off..?

I've had my friendly ad on the BDSM personals for over a year now and have had barely a response beyond the usual timewasters.

I'm wondering which, if any, of the matters I have mentioned in my ad may be deterring women from contacting me. Could it be that my stressed 'non-overweight' is finding little favour? I am well aware that the BBW club is well entrenched hereabouts. In which case, too bad - I am simply not interested in the sight of excess rolls of adipose tissue doing their own thing!

I am wondering if in particular my age is a deterrent. As I keep myself in fairly good condition and have reasonable looks, this would concern me.

Am I right to think that the probable answer is actually that submissive women in the UK are enormously less common than people on here would fondly believe..?

I haven't seen your ad - it might help to post a link here to it, so people can give feedback on the possible reasons for lack of response.

You mention your age - I would be shocked if that was the cause. I have met a great many very inventive men of your age and older. However it might be that you would be more likely to attract women in their 40s and 50s, rather than 20s, and I wonder about the age profile of women on this site

You mention the stipulation of non-overweight might be the cause. That's possible. Did you explain what overweight actually means? Most women think themselves overweight. When 6 and a half stone (around 90 pounds) I thought myself chubbby. It seems a common womenly trait, maybe arising from fashion magazines and the media. Perhaps explain in more detail what overweight means to you... what weight/height ratios are acceptable.

At last. A sensible comment.

To me, any woman sporting a dress size much greater than 14 (US=12) would be unacceptable inasmuch as to be proportionately 'non-lateral' in 16 or over would put her as very tall and I myself am a standard 5' 10".

This is strictly a personal preference viepoint and I do intend my comments to be read otherwise.

You know what you want and so you put in in an ad--that's nothing to cause ill-favor in my humble opinion. Your age shouldn't be a deterrent. My guess is that the 'interpretations' of the F word, had I used it rather than such a euphemism, would have been even less tolerant.
