Three years out from losing my wife. Not looking to replace her. Not looking for therapy (got that, thanks). Just looking for someone who makes me want to pay attention again. The undivided kind. The kind where I notice how you take your coffee, how you breathe when you're actually interested, how you look when you're pretending not to want something.

You? Complicated. Self-aware. The kind of high-maintenance that comes from knowing your own worth, not from insecurity. You don't apologize for wanting the lights on, for being looked at, for taking up space. You're probably over 35 because anyone younger is still confusing "passion" with "drama" and I don't have the bandwidth for tutorials on emotional intelligence.

I'm in no rush. The dogs have already established they come first, and I've accepted my role in this household. But there's room in the evening for someone worth staying awake for.

What I'm actually looking for: Words first. Whatever happens after that happens—or doesn't, and that's fine too.

What I'm not looking for: Immediate nudes that would be rude. Obviously thar is a second or third convention question haha. mmediate drama, or anyone who thinks "widower" means "desperate." I miss my wife. That doesn't mean I'll settle for less than interesting.

Midwest timezone. Patient. Can fix your car but would rather fix you a drink.

DM if you're the type who reads entire comment sections before responding. We probably think alike.
