I mainly post political comments. I write what I would write in a letter to the editor of a newspaper or opinion journal.

The short stories I write could have been made for television movies presented during the 1950's, although some of the violence might be toned down slightly. I avoid the use of obscene words.

Some of my opinions are controversial. I present them carefully, trying to show respect for those who disagree.

I try to respect opinions based on experiences I have not had.

I try to avoid responding in kind to the insults, name calling, and obscene words that are sometimes directed at me. I want to be known for insights, knowledge, and curtesy.

These are aspirations, rather than what I always achieve.
