X-Men: Unleashed!

Running from the police was nothing new to Anthony. Growing up on the streets of Philly, in a gang, he dealt with cops all the time. Of course after he found out he was a mutant, the entire gang was chasing him too. Of course Anthony had no time to dwell on that now, the last thing he needed right now was more exicite himself more than he already had. He turned to Mallory, "Running from the Cops, sounds just like home. I'm in."

As the others began to pack up and make a run for it I contemplated and swore on the lives of the X-Men that the person responsible for this fire with have HELL TO PAY.

While my fellow classmates were deciding on making an escape before the authorities got here I too wondered what is my next move. After all over the past few months this place has been like a home to me and while my family owns many nice palatical seasonal mansions, I never called any place home till now. Watching it burn to the ground I realized the Xavier Institue was more than just bricks and beautiful landscaping, it is a place where people reach their full potential. It is a place where dreams are born and people become family. While outside these grounds the only thing we all have in common is genetically reved up chromosomes, inside these wall were we X-Men and that means more than even my wonders can fathom. Many people one dream. One goal with many willing to sacrafice all to achieve it.

Gathering myself I stopped hovering and forced myself to walk. While it was painful process, I refuse to let the others see me as a weak link. My pride forcing me back into my more dignified stance I looked at my classmates and said " Look if we are going to leave. Then we need someplace to lay low. Agreed. Of course you will. My family has a large penthouse apartment in Manhattan. We can stay there until I can set up a more suitable location, more fit for a Duplaix such as myself. "

Do or die, it's time to fly...

Lightwave jogged from mutant to mutant, checking that everyone was okay. Most of them were. Everyone he met, he let them know it was time to leave. Looking across at a clearing he could see one of the students, the Duplo guy. Maybe it was Du-Play? something like that. The guy was doing a good job of organising everyone, but to Lightwave it seemed like the guy was about to collapse.
"Hey dude," Lightwave whispered to him, drawing him aside momentarily. "You sure you can get the students there? You may not wanna admit it, but you look bad, man. Just wanna make sure you're up to it, alright?"

Static

" Im Coming Ihave no need or want to stay with gost And I Dont Car for Cops Either . So Lead On BC." With That said Static Was Off With The Others

"BC I have An idea . Ive Got $950.78 if We Have The Mutants You Can Hide Their Powers Rent The rooms We Can Sneck the others in later so We Could Stay At A Motel OR Hotel. What Do You think."

Bastard

Hotels? A penthouse? Seemed plausible, but not really my style. It seemed like perhaps the penthouse was a bad idea. Everyone would know we were there, given the fact that so many of us would be going up there to stay, and especially given the fact that we were mostly wearing ashy clothes and not looking out best, not appearing like penthouse material in the least. And some of us couldn't hide that we were mutants.
And besides, a penthouse? I wouldn't sleep a wink, and I knew it. A totally foriegn atmosphere, rich people's belongings and open space within a building.
"They are both good ideas," I said. "But the penthouse would be too difficult to get to, and everybody would know we were there. As far as the hotel or motel rooms are concerned, that might work. However, we may be in for quite a few surprises in the near future. Perhaps that money would be better in a savings account for now."
I thought for a moment, almost afraid to suggest what was on my mind just then, but it was the was I knew, and no one would look there.
"How about...the sewer?" I suggested, waiting for the negative responses.

Static

"I've Slepet In Wors places And If the Morlocks can Do it So Can Old Static."Static Looked at BC" Lead The Way boss"

Bastard

I glanced at the man who'd spoken last, irritated. The shock was wearing off now, and my old disposition was returning.
"Don't call me that. I'm not your boss. SO far as I know, no one here is in charge..."

Mallory ( Rain)

I listened at all the discussion of where would we be staying... patiently, until I noticed they were probably not going to agree any time soon. I start walking to the nearest Sewer entrance I knew...

" Well, Im going to the sewers, I prefer fighting whatever lives down there than having problems with being a mutant on any hotel or even the police... "

After he was certain things were squared away at the hospital, Spiderman swung back across town to the smolderings of the mansion.
There were only a few police cars, some of the men in blue were standing around, laughing as another crack came from the ever dwindling fire. One of them peed in part of the ruins, and finally they all left.
He slowly came out from beyond the treeline, using what little water webbing he had to snuff out the rest of the fire. Deep below he could still here it raging on. Those were the other roooms though, the ones that were seperate from the house.
What he needed to do now, is look for clues.
Something, anything that would show the true culprit here.
"Can't be humans," he said aloud, amongst the smoldering rubble, "They have the motive, but not the opportunity. If they had started a fire, it would have been out in minutes."
He webbed up to a part of the house still standing, taking it all in. The view was simply disheartening. Who would want to do such a thing?
"Vigilante mutants? They could have bypassed some of the security..."
But not all, and certainly not have been aware of the perfect time to strike. The other mutants would have known anyway. In this mansion were some of the strongest noses, ears, eyes, not to mention that telepathy and esp stuff. How could anyone possibly have broken in.
"Unless..." Spiderman's mind began to ponder. What if it was an ex X-man. He laughed out lout at that one.
"An ex X-man."
A riot.
Seriously, though, if someone who had recently graduated or been kicked off the team had been pressured or wanted revenge, or possibly even been brainwashed?
So, an ex X-men, defintely on the list of suspects.
It could be another mutant though. Someone so evil and so corrupt and with so much resources that a job like this would have been easy as pie. The King Pin and Magneto came to mind.
"Ok, so evil genius, there's someone else."
He thought briefly about suicide. Perhaps Charles was just biting the bucket and wanted to take them all with him, but then dismissed it. He had worked with the man several times, if nothing else, he loved this school. That was out of the question.
Unless, someone had brainwashed him into doing it? No, that seemed doubtful, considering how powerful his brain telepathy gift was.
What?
Brain telepathy gift, that was a good of name as any. Not like he cared about it much.
Just another power in the sea of potential for humans.
Something caught his eye. Dropping down Spiderman noticed a bit of cloth. Something that had been ripped from a piece of clothing.
Was this a clue?
Hmmm, it could very well be. He would have to run some tests, see if this was even from one of the students or not.
Probably was.
Spiderman through a couple of still smoking beams out of the way, heading deeper into the house. There, was the professor's office. It was the one where most people could go into, not the main one downstairs.
The computer was fucked, royally fucked. Nothing much of it could run. He quickly bent down, yanking the C drive from the mainframe. Whatever knowledge he could dig up on ex X-men or recent graduates, or even of the new students themselves. The rookies, and the other survivors, who knew if one of them wasn't hiding a secret or two?
Spiderman sure didn't, until this was over, he would definitely need to keep everyone a suspect.
Especially that beady looking one, what was his name, Bastard? Something like that.
Feeling that he had done as much super heroing as he could here, he went back into the city. There, the night air felt good around his body, as he swung from rooftop to rooftop.
It would be morning in a few hours, perhaps he should get some sleep tonight? A siren went off in the distance.
Sighing, he swung in that direction.
Perhaps not.
(if there is anything of interest to find QC, just pm me or put it in the ooc. Got to start the investigation somewhere)

Lightwave had watched a group of the students wander off, looking for a good sewer to spend the night in. He shuddered. A sewer? Still, desperate times call for desperate measures...
He stayed with the few remaining students, checking injuries, making splints from branches and strips of his shirt, directing others in the direction the first group had gone.
Then the police had come. This was much more of a problem than he had anticipated. As soon as they had arrived Lightwave had walked over to the first squad car, in human form, and introduced himself as John Blaze. The cops weren't impressed, to say the least! That's how lightwave found himself once more floating in the midst of the flames in his energy form, watching with horror as the cops rounded all the remaining students up, shot them one by one and threw their bodies into the fire. Being a young and relatively weak mutant, Johnny had watched from his hiding place, too terrified to move. The cops stayed for a while, congratulating themselves and laughing.
Bastards. Fucking, fucking bastards! Johnny was crying silently by the time the cops left. Then Spiderman had come back, looking for clues, unaware of Johnny or the ashen bodies of the students in the heart of the fire.As spiderman left, Lightwave finally made up his mind... he would follow spiderman and tell him what happened. Spiderman would know what to do. Leaving the scene of Holocaust carnage behind he took off in Spiderman's direction, still weeping at his own impotence. Why had he been too afraid to help his friends? Would the others accept him back into the sewers? Why had the students been killed? Was this the end?
Or was this a mutant holocaust, just beginning?

Anthony climbed the basket ball net and leapt over the tall brick wall the surrounded the school. After he got over the wall he thought to himself, "Perhaps we should have agreed on a meeting place. Crap." He ran away from the main road, ducking into the woods adjacent to Xavier's property. "Perhaps I can run into another classmate if I wait here long enough." Anthony sat on a nearby log, deciding he would invest at least an hour of his time before moving on.

John Kleed sat in his office. He was pissed. Where the hell was Xavier? Their meeting should have started 5 minutes ago. He spun in his leather chair, and looked out the window of his corner office, overlooking the intersection of E 55th and Madison.

"God damned mutants," he muttered. Don't they realize when someone is trying to help them? he had thought Xavier had been different. He had been the only man, mutant or otherwise, that was willing to accept him, powers and all.

He was in the unique position of not belonging to either the mutant, or the mundane humans. His abilities had been manufactured, and were a side effect at that. The mundanes thought him a mutant, and the mutants thought him 'unnatural'. Neither thought him to belong with either.

"Well, screw 'em all," he thought. He spun back to his mahogany desk, and punched the intercom button on the phone.

"Yes, Mr. Kleed?" his assistants voice blared over the speaker, making him wince. Pretty girl, but had a voice like a blender full of rocks.

"Get me Peter Parker on the phone, Annelle."

"Right away, Mr. Kleed."

He would give baldy ten more minutes, then he'd get the hell outta here. Not that he really had anywhere to go, but he'd be damned if he'd sit here waiting for the Professor.

"Sir," Annelle's voice screeched over the intercom again. "Mr. Parker is not in his office. Would you care to leave a message for him?"

"Yeah, put me through, Annelle." He picked up the handset.

"Mr. Kleed?" came the voice from the Daily Bugle.

"Yeah," he answered. The woman on the other end gave her name, but he didn't bother to remember it. "This is for Peter Parker. Ready?"

"Go ahead, sir."

"Parker, this is Kleed. The old man stood me up. I guess your hunch about him was wrong. I'll be out of the office most of the morning. If you want to contact me, I'll be back at noon." He paused, before asking, "You got that?"

"Yes sir. I'll give it to him as soon as he arrives."

"Thanks." He hung up, and checked his watch. Five more minutes.

Mallory ( Rain )

It seemed like everyone was going their own way, each with an agenda of their own, well, It did not matter, I had mine and was going to do everytithing to get what I wanted...

I keep walking and find the entrance to the sewers, I look back a the others, wondering if someone else might be interested in hiding down there...

Razorback

Anthony got tired of waiting, "Hmmm considering I don't know where anyone is headed, maybe I should make a U-Turn to the sewers." He walked up to a large tree right next to the wall surrounding the school. There were no branches that were within reach. "Crap." "Maybe if I can use my plates to climb the tree to the branch over there. Worth a shot at least."

The top layer of Anthony's skin began to curl and harden as the plates protruded from his hands. He brought he spiked hand back and slammed it into the tree. "Fuck!" Apparently his plates weren't sharp enough to stick to the tree, just scratch it a bit. The plates began to unfold and his skin returned to normal.

With nothing left to do he called for help, hoping someone on the other side of the wall would here him. "Hey anyone there, it's Anthony Cardone, you know Razorback. Are we meeting up somewhere? Is their another entrance to the sewer I can get into?"

Crawling down along the ceiling, he looked at the three burglars working quickly. They seemed to know exactly where everything was. With a few minutes they cleaned out most of the offices on that floor.
Just as they reached for the elevator, web shot down, grabbing the three bags that carried loot.
He dropped to the ground between them, "Now, now, someone must have told you crime doesn't pay."
Punches and kicks filled the air, mostly it was from Spiderman though. Within a couple of moments they were all slumped unconscious on the floor.
"Hah, and no buildings collapsed, let's see Superman try and do that."
The elevator door opened, as more goons came onto the floor, realiing what had happened to their friends. His eyes grew wide, there must have been ten or more.
Talk about upping the odds.
"Ummm, no thanks guys, this floor is already been cleaned," he stepped back, watching their faces turn from confusion to anger. This is going to hurt.
This is really going to hurt.
"Come on Spidey," he said to himself, letting his fingers trace over the web shooters.

Aenas Duplaix in " Do I look like Splinter Over Here" After hearing my offer of sanctuary at my posh penthouse being turned down I was upset but refused to allow the others see me that way. Looking toward that guy that was trying to help me, I think his name is Lightwave, I said "Don't worry about me. There are others that require your assistance. I am a Duplaix and that means that I am among the strong."

Listening to some of more bone headed ideas of my teamates I decided that they can go their way and I will go mine. Imagine living off a meager saving like $950.78. I mean I have more money in my piggy bank than he has in his whole account. Ha I am worth millions. After hearing their idea of moving to the sewers I realized the fire must have tramatized them so much that they have gone insane.

Following behind the others hoping they would regain their senses by the time they see the sewers they were looking to call home, when they saw the hellhole they chose and did not turn away I gave up and began to fly away. They must be out of their damn minds if they think the sewers were the way to go.

Landing on the 60th floor balcony I used my kenetic powers to pop the lock and entered my family's 5th Avenue penthouse. Stumbling inside I passed out on the Parsian black suade and leather couch. Between the pain, exhaustion and stress it was too much for me. Lying on the couch I felt a pain in my ribs. Turning over to side I rolled over and vomited out blood into a gold trashcan. Great that was real classy.

Razorback

"Hello anyone?" Anthony finally heard a voice, however it wasn't the voice of one of his fellow students, rather it was the voice of the Westchester County sheriff and two patrolmen. "Alright son keep your hands we're we can see them, we just want to ask you a few questions about this mutie fire."

Anthony was never comfortable around police, being from a gang and all. Back home whenever a cop said he "just wanted to ask you a few questions" that meant at least one night in a holding cell. He just prayed that he could stay calm enough before-- "He's a mutie, he's gonna attack us, quick bring'em down!!" Too late, his mutant plates seemed to have activated themselves when his adrenaline level increased.

Before he could explaine, Anthony felt a nightstick across his face, knocking him out. The last thing he felt before totally blacking out was the cold steel of the cuffs on his wrists. "Careful boys, you might catch something?" "Should we call in disease control, Sir?" "Yeah, better to be safe than sorry."

Mallory ( Rain )

Just as I was about to enter the sewers I heard voices... cops I think, they were shouting out to someone...

Then I heard those horrible words, "He's a mutie, he's gonna attack us, quick bring'em down ".

Without thinking who might be in trouble I ran towards the voices, and found 3 cops, one of them holding a nightstick, the other two had guns on their hands, on the floor, lying unconcious was Razorback.

I immediately charge the cops, taking advantage of my enhanced speed I reach the armed ones and disarm them with a pair of kicks, then as they were begining to react I knock them out cold.

I turn to the last one standing, which was a sheriff, he was already unto me, wailing his nightstick, I move out of the way to fast for him to see and his blow hits nothing but air, I raise behind him and grab lock my arms around his neck, cutting off his air, until he faints and drops to the ground.

I turn towards Razorback and try to wake him up...

Razorback's plates had once again recessed into his skin after he was knocked out. He slowley began to open his eyes as Mallory came into focus. "Christ my fuckin' head is killing me. What happened to the cops?" Razorback lifted his head up and saw the three officers lying on the ground nearby. "Nevermind. Let's get out of here before they wake up."

Bastard

I heard the sounds of the cops' voices as well, but no where near in time. Mallory was gone, and I wasn't nearl yfast enough to keep up. WHen I reached them, the three cops were down, and Mallory was trying to rouse The other mutant. (His name? I couldn't remember). He came to a moment later.
"WHat the...?" I began. "Tell me you didn't. You two didn't just beat up these cops?"
They didn't have to answer. I was sure there was a reason why, but it didn't matter right then. What did matter, was that we were now as wanted as was possible...mutants who beat up cops. I thought back to the gunshots I'd heard earlier, the shots I thought we'd all heard, but no one had mentioned.
I looked to the two of them, thinking that I hadn't heard any other ambulances leaving the area, and that the cops hadn't all left right off.
It didn't take gunshots to arrest anybody, nor would the students have put up a fight. I wasn't surprised at these thoughts, though. I'd known what had happened, and chose to ignore it out of certainty that there was little we could do...
What could we have done, anyway? I thought.
I looked at the three cops, then at Mallory, and felt a grin stretching acros my face.
"Fuck 'em," I said, kicking one in the ribs. "Let's get the fuck out of here."

Catching up to Spiderman is no problem when you can travel at the speed of light is no problem. Finding him somewhere in a metropolis by night is something different.
Lightwave had spent his time walking around the streets, hoping for some sign, unwilling to use his powers in the open.
There. Up in a highrise building window lightwave saw a giand spiderweb suddenly materialise. Throwing caution aside Lightwave flew up level with the window. Hmmm, being made of light, logic would denote that he could simply pass through glass, right?
Crash!!!
Guess not. So much for an entrance! Lightwave didn't even have time to make a personal note to work on it before he saw ten or so heavies about to lay into Spiderman...

Razorback

OOC: My character is Razorback aka Anthony Cardone

Anthony rose to his feet with a heavy feeling in his head. It seems Mallory had taken out the police who attacked him. He saw Bastard had also come to his aid, giving one of the cops a quick kick to the ribs. Anthony felt like he had to hold his head with his hands, to keep it from splitting apart. "Alright where the hell are we going to go and do they have asprin there?"

Mallory ( Rain )

Razorback woke up, just then Kane arrived, he did not seemed very happy about me beating the cops.

" Tell me you didn't. You two didn't just beat up these cops?" he said.

" No, I beat the cops, they were going to take Razor, and I couldn´t let them do that could I? "

He stood there, then aparently changed his opinion, kicking one of the passed out cops and urging us to get out of there...

" Of course, but where shall we be going, I had thought of the sewers, And we better hurry, we will think of another plan once we hide down there, we have to go... "

With these last words I help Razorback up, " Can you walk? "
