Storm

Storm glanced back at who was outside with her and tried to figure out if they could take Mystique and the dupe alive. She looked back and focused more on creating a strong enough wind to give the helicopter enough of a rattle for Mystique to notice.

“And what’s to stop me from trading you for Kitty.”

"Because if we don't show up at our pick up point, alone, Katherine Pryde is dead."

Mystique was beginning to worry this wouldn't work. She started to back up while she was talking.

Storm

Storm watched as Mystique backed up towards the rope ladder and grabbed a hold. Storm's mind raced trying to think of a way to stop her and get Kitty back. She created enough of an up draft that the helicopter was pushed away and caused Mystique to let go of the ladder.

"How do I know that she is alive? Right now you look like my only leverage.”

The ladder was torn out of her hand. A tight ball began to grow in Mystique's stomach, how was she going to pull this off?

She turned herself into Kitty. If Ororo was going to make a choice, she wanted to make sure that Ororo made the choice looking at the person the outcome would effect the most.

"Well I guess you'll just have to trust me." Mystique laughed, "And I'm not leverage, I'm your choice on whether you want Ms Pryde back, alive."

Storm

Storm watched horrified as Mystique turned into Kitty. "It's not Kitty." She repeated to herself as the wind started to die down and the helicopter balanced back out, bringing the rope ladder back within Mystique's reach.

Mystique grabbed a hold of the ladder. "When I am safely on my way, go to Jamie Madrox's office in town, you'll find a cell phone there, and we'll lead you to Kitty.
Mystique started to climb the ladder. A sick feeling twisting in her stomach, waiting for all the forces of nature to come crashing down on her.

Storm

Storm watched as Mystique climbed up the ladder and the helicopter took off. "I need to find Emma." Storm said before she walked back into the front foyer. She glanced over at Bryn and noticed her protecting Jamie. Storm waited until everyone who had been on the front lawn made their way back inside.

"What has been going on here the last week?"

Amanda had stood ahead of most of the rest and watched as the blue woman, confired as Mystique, convinces Miss Monroe to let her escape. She wanted to do something, but she had no idea of what. Should she risk her life to try and follow the helicopter? No. No, that would be stupid. Even if they had tried to hurt Mr Madrox, she was still no fighter, and would probably end up captured. After all, it was almost pure adrennalin that had made her come this far instead of cower under a table!

She walked back to the mansion and slumped against a wall, feeling both exhauseted from the chase, and dissapointed in her own failiure

Logan turned to Storm "Ororo, i have that blue skinned bitch's scent, gimme the word and ill track her."

Storm

Storm gave Logan a disapproving look for using that language in front of students and turned to pick up the bags she had previously dropped.

“Thank you, Logan, but that won’t be necessary. We may not need to track Mystique. I’m hoping that Emma Frost can be convinced to use Cerebro and hopefully she can tell us if Kitty is alright. But if you could go get the cell phone from Jamie’s office that would be appreciated.”

Bryn

I looked up from Jamie and left him on the chaise lounge- he wasn't bleeding anymore, just over-tired. Walking outside, I answered Storm's question. "We've been trying to repair the damage, both structural and team wise that we encured in that gattling gun hell attack. Get Jamie patched up and attempt something resembling normal classes, though that I'm not sure on since I'm new."

Shooting a glance at Amanda and back at Jamie, my sword still clutched in his hand I shrugged. "I don't remember 'weekly crisis' as on one of the extra-curricular activies listed in the student hand book. Not that I'm complaining- no one's blown up any major structures and we're all mostly alive. No Gods to resurrect or shut back in a box. But still, its been a rough week."

Storm

Storm looked at Logan and tried to figure out if "windy" was an insult. But as usual she couldn't read him and said,

"Thank you, Bryn. Could you and Amanda take Jamie back up to the infirmary please."

Thad had just powered up his music chamber and strapped on his metal armbands when the Code Black announcement came over the intercom. What is going on? This place used to be so quiet. He thought as he pulled his shirt back on and headed over to the elevator. Protocol stated that any student not active on a Xmen team was to return to their dormroom when a Code Black came over the intercom, however he couldn't help but want to know what was going on.

The elevator opened and he stepped within taking the lift from the sub floors to the ground floor where he walked out into the lobby. Looking through the windows, he saw the aftermath of the attack and noticed that Storm had returned from her trip. While he got excited knowing that Noir was home again, he pushed it from his mind and decided that he would see if he could help first. Stepping outside, he watched as a helocopterstarted to lift away from the grounds and that Bryn and Amanda were helping Jamie. Jamie had a sword drawn and it looked like Wolverine was in a battle.

"Looks like I missed something." He said to the group as he walked over and looked an arm around Jamie helping him up.

Logan chuckled to himself when Storm looked at him, presumably for calling her windy. He went over to the garage, hopped on his cycle and headed for maddox's office.

Kitty looked up at the lone window from the basement floor. Mystique and Jamie Madrox hadn't returned for a long time. She had lost track of the days, between lapses of unconciousness. She had put up a good fight to avoid capture, but in the end, they had hurt Lockheed, bad, and the distraction had been her downfall. She hadn't enough time to phase before they caught and collared her. She looked over at the metal cage that held Lockheed. He lay on his side, stuck in the form of a cat. He was hurt, possibly dieing. They had run out of water... she couldn't even remember how long it had been. She looked down at the bullet wound at her side that was beginning to fester. She supposed that was causing the fever. Mystique obviously had wanted Kitty dead, but had wanted her to suffer first. Between the fever and being locked in her own cage, unable to pass through the bars to see to Lockheed. She looked over at him now, holding her breath everytime he exhaled, praying that wouldn't be his last, before she slipped into unconciousness.

Archangel

It had been a long time since I had gone back to the mansion, a long time indeed. Somehow though, something called to me, I felt that I needed to go back. Making my way there, I decided to arrive in an undescript limousine, that wasn't a bad idea. Getting out of my car I waved my driver off and quickly went inside. Things seemed to be the same, yet different, there were students everywhere, I wondered if the professor or any other old friends were around. I closed the door behind me and stood there in a large trenchcoat that conealed my wings, looking around wondering whom I would recognize.

Logan had arrived at Maddox's office and went inside. Once inside he called Storm "Ororo, I'm at his office what next?"

Storm / Surge

Ororo was watering her plants in her room when her com. started beeping and found Logan on the other end. She was surprised that he called her and said, "Take a look around for the cell phone and anything suspicious."
---------------------------------------------------

Nori left her room and started heading towards the kitchen. It had taken sometime to unpack and her roommate Dust had wanted to know about Kenya. As she walked downstairs she noticed the strange man in a trenchcoat standing in the front entry. As she stepped off the stairs she said, "Hi, I'm Nori." and reached out her hand to shake his.

Logan sniffed all over the place and noticed a strange scent. As he followed this scent he stepped on a part of the floor that felt different, almost hollow. he knelt down and examined the area "A trapdoor?" he said. Puzzled he opened it to a chamber underneath he went down into the chamber and saw them "KITTY, LOCKHEED!!" he said "Ill get ya outta here." he slashed the chains and opened the cages up "What have they done to you two?"

Bryn

I gave a fluff of my wings over being dismissed from the 'adults' planning session and turned to help Jamie back inside.

Another man, presumbely an X-man given that no one gave him grief over entering, walked inside the main entry hall.

I felt an instant kinship with him and a glance at his back gave away the reason why. There were wings under that coat, if my guess was accurate, which it should be considering I'd had to do the same thing. But what I couldn't figure out was why he was hiding his wings here- they accepted me with mine. Why would he feel compeled to hide them? Maybe they were batlike, maimed or un-retractable.

"Hi, I'm Bryn," I said with a wave and a smile. "Storm and Mr Logan have gone off to her office for a big-wig pow-wow, if you're looking for who's in charge. What's your name?"

Archangel

Archangel: I turned to see a girl talking to me. I blinked "oh . . . so Ororo and Logan are off with some business, that's interesting to know." I smiled at her and walked over offering my hand, "I haven't been here in a long time. My name's Warren, although I'm a little more well known as Archangel, or formerly Angel."

I jerked a thumb at my coat "and my wings are hiding from humanity right now, if that's what you're wondering about." I took off my coat and undid the harness holding them together, and stretched open my wings. They opened up to a full sixteen feet. I then asked her "so, who else is around?"

Amanda hummed merrilly to herself as she moved around to kitchen, gathering a number of ingredients and mixing them up an different bowls. Occasionally she would glance down at the table where she had an open recipie book, before wandering off to get the next ingrediant. In fact, she was so wrapped up in teaching herself cooking that she was oblivious to the voices out in the hall

Bryn

I smiled at Angel and furled my own ebony wings in response for a moment before willing them to reabsorb back into my upper back. It tingled but didn't hurt, not like when I'd first learned the trick of it.

"Well, I'm going to take Jamie to the kitchen, since its closer then the infirmery right now," I informed him before I was unable to stop myself from asking, "Can you fly well in winds? I'm not very good at it- in fact flying around here I find almost too hazardous because of the random gusts Storm pulls around herself. If you're going to be here a while could I get some pointers maybe?"

The new girl came up and Nori was ignored by them both. She looked down to see if she had suddenly gain the ability to become invisible, but no, still visible. She was curious about what they were talking about but shocked at being so rudely ignored by the pair of them that she turned and went back to her room. She decided that it wouldn't be worth electrocuting the both of them into awareness of her very obvious presence and left with a parting "Screw the both of you.".
