Xcom (OOC)

Sorry to see you lose a man....but when and how may I step into the story?
It might be good for Ironside if you arrive sooner rather than later. With Eagle and Snow both about to be overrun by Mutons the arrival of an experienced alien hunter might be just the thing she needs to get out of this crapstorm in one(-ish) piece.

If you want you could even write up the valiant 'death scene' for the boys, although try to make it possible for them to be recovered so they can spend some time in sickbay, just in case Stalzyn manages to get back to us. :)

Well I'll have to give it a read and see what you've got and familiarize myself with the thread and the players.

Basically we have:

Callsign - Player - Situation
Pvt. Mr P - Sexnovella - Providing sniper cover from the south-east quadrant, jungle periphery
Cpl. Tank - TertiusHuman - Providing fire support in the western outskirt of the city
Sgt. Snow - Stalzyn - Engaging Mutons in the western outskirt of the city
Sgt. Ironside - Jezebel1669 - Engaging Mutons in the western outskirt of the city
Cpt. Eagle - Stalzyn - Co-ordinating defence in the western outskirt of the city
Cpt. Bones - Jezebel1669 - Being rescued from gangrape by the gang in the northern residential district
Mjr. Temple - Othermoose - Raiding the gang hideout in the northern residential district

Not sure when Tank received his promotion, could've sworn he was a sergeant at the beginning of the mission, but he's currently the ranking officer in the field and so all orders should come from him, unless superseded by the overall X-COM Commander Vesser back on-board the Acid Queen.

I tend to fall back on the old UFO rank system, which means there can only ever be one Commander, who in this case is Cmdr Vesser. Given the small size of our force we can only have three Colonels, four Majors, five Captains, six Lieutenants, twelve Sergeants, twelve Corporals, and thirty-two Squaddies (Privates.) This would give X-COM a total fighting force of 75, not counting the marines on-board the orbital stations, Asgard and the Acid Queen.

Shall I just take it that everyone else has dropped out of the fight at this point?

It seems like things has become messed up in the story when people has come and left. My new ranking should be squaddie after this mission since I have killed several aliens.

Except people rarely get promoted in the middle of a battle, except under extreme duress. Until they have time to return to base, train up with the new experiences they've had and gain new insight into their role they'd remain at the same rank as before.

Especially in a rigid command structure where officers would have to wait until an opening up the chain of command became available before they'd receive a promotion.

I agree with Jezebel. You're not going to be able to get a promotion in the middle of a firefight, Sexnovella. Maybe when we're back on the ship, but not before.

It is fun to play the old Xcom UFO Defence on my laptop. Rookies get promoted to squaddies when they get some experience after a mission. Only a few soldiers get higher ranking depending on the size of the squad and the soldier's effort.

Only the most experienced get promotions, but at the same time you also get stat boosts for making difficult shots and surviving wounds, which makes having 'old' soldiers still much more worthwhile, if you can keep them alive long enough.

On the higher difficulty settings it becomes almost impossible to complete even the simplest of missions without taking some casualties, no matter how well equipped and prepared your squad is.

Speaking of casualties, is anyone going to help out Ironside before she gets ripped apart by that squad of Mutons she's currently surrounded by?

Thanks this helps and I'm glad you like old school too...:)

UFO Defence

Damn those Mutons with blaster launchers! They are so tough and blow everything to tiny pieces. It usually takes several shots to kill them even with the heavy plasma rifle but I usually avoid using explosives to reduce the killing of my own soldiers or civilians.

I had a mission once where there was a Muton standing right outside the Avenger with a Blaster Launcher. No matter what I did, even crouching down to try and spot him first, he'd just shoot off the rocket and kill the entire squad with one shot.

In the end I must've reloaded the game a hundred times before his rocket finally missed the ship and the squad managed to take him down before he could get in another shot.

Do you ever get the feeling you're writing the entire story yourself with very little input from anyone else? :|

Am I not putting in enough? I thought I was doing alright, but I can try to step it up if I'm not contributing enough.

You're doing good, but we really need more people onboard for this if we're gonna be having a Bones/Mindfuck gangbang session in the mess hall when we get back. Right now there's not enough people around for me to be running three characters at once.

We kinda got dropped in a hole with the 'army of Mutons' suddenly showing up, especially since I've no idea just how many Mutons Eagle spotted heading in.

Is Ironside winning the fight, or is she still severely outnumbered? How much longer are we expected to hold out against them until Temple manages to signal us to break off and retreat, or are we looking to win the battle outright against the aliens? Are there more alien reinforcements nearby, and can Mr P give us some information on their movements from his vantage point at all?

Well since I dont want to do that foot-in-mouth thing, I am just following the leads I get
The problem there is Tank's the Colonel on this mission, which means he's in charge. If Ironside tries to do anything without his go-ahead first she risks being courtmarshalled.

Sorry this went all wrong. Tank is supposed to be Corporal not Colonel. I got confused with the Afrikaans names and the English names.

See what I meant with foot in mouth disease?

The recent bout of explosions aren't designed as a way for the girls to exit the story, they're something Othermoose and I discussed in order to explain them getting a few extra-special upgrades, once the rest of you manage to evacuate them to safety.

And don't forget to bring the cute little psionic girl with you either.

Place of Birth: Porto Alegre, Brazil (this is the city we're currently operating in)
Rank: Cadet

History:
The third and youngest daughter in a family of seven Maria spent most of her young life following her brothers through the winding streets of her home city and exploring the nearby jungles.

When she was fourteen her ramblings led him into trouble when a group of men took a liking to her developing young body and spent several hours 'teaching her how to be a woman'. Maria never reported the incident and instead took every opportunity she could to track the men down for more 'lessons'.

By the time she was sixteen Maria was well established in the city backstreets as the go-to slut for those looking for young flesh and it didn't take long before she fell into the clutches of the local gangs. Used for prostitution and pornography, Maria's education widened to include all manner of perversions, sexual deviances and extreme practices, and she loved every minute of it.

In order to make even better use of her body one of the local drug lords used his connections to have a surgeon perform highly illegal genetic modifications to the young woman, enhancing her sexuality and allure but at the same time awakening her latent Psi potential.

Days before the alien invasion of her home Maria found herself bound in a cellar after her abilities had accidentally fried the mind of the drug lord's daughter as she'd shared Maria's bed, her orgasm having been amplified and broadcast into the woman's brain, forcing her to die from a pleasure overload.
Skills:
Mindfray, Psi Inspiration (sex drive), Covering Fire
Equipment:
Psi Armor, Light Plasma Rifle, Mind Shield, Smoke Grenades, Adrenal Neurosympathy Gene Mod, Neural Damping Gene Mod, Neural Feedback Gene Mod
Notes:
  • While professing to be heterosexual Maria has been known to sleep with other women on occasion, especially in threesome and gangbangs
  • Due to the original purpose of her genetic mods Maria has the ability to emit a pheromone to increase the potency of all sexual activity and can use her neural feedback to make orgasms last longer and feel better

The folks at Firaxis Games games need to hire them though.
And me!

My idea for a mission to save a group of poor girls captured by Snakemen and used as egg incubators which turns out was completely voluntary on the girls' part would make a great addition to X-COM 2. :D

You should've seen the custom missions which got me banned from City Of Heroes.

Like the one where the heroine's evil twin arranged a sex marathon on the steps of City Hall to sully the name of her virtuous doppelganger. You had to rush to defeat her as her clothes slowly melted away, taking her out before she became totally naked and exposed in front of all the press photographers and camera men.

XD that's awesome! I can't imagine why they'd ban you for that lol
