Lit is so polarized now it is impossible to talk about any topic without political assignment being brought up and scrutinized.
Cain and Abel? Not sure. I am not my conservative right wing religious nutjob brother's keeper.
Nailed it. A good number of threads don't make it past the second or third post without name calling and a pissing contest starting.
It's why a bunch of folks who could contribute don't even bother.

The only fun ones are the drunk Ish threads.
Sure.
But that's usually because of the mini, side-threads and off-topic posts happening within the thread - the derailments, as it were.
They can be quite entertaining and fun, the good stuff usually happening a page or two in, after the opening name calling and obligatory Franzia posts are made.

I try to just find someone actually willing to discuss whatever topic and go with that. Maybe a couple shots at dumbasses like the OP just for fun. Going off on the political tangents isn't much fun to me at all.
Oh, the irony..Nailed it. A good number of threads don't make it past the second or third post without name calling and a pissing contest starting.

Maybe you should go back and read what you wrote.I have made two statements.
1. A negative cannot be proven.
That does NOT say, or imply, that something does or doesn't exist. Or to put it another way, the inability to prove one thing does not automatically prove the converse.
2. Theoretical Physics as we understand it today suggests there is a 'creative' force at work WRT the beginning of the universe. If true you can name it anything you want and "God" is as good a name as any. That creative force, whatever form it may take, does NOT imply a 'personal God' that is taught by most religions.
That's it sparky, that's all I've said. I wasn't using 'code words' or 'dog whistles.' (Something the left is determined to find in anything anybody has to say. Probably as a result of all those correspondence "Mind Reading" course they subscribe to.)
