The regular condoms are so damn thick that I can't really enjoy sex.

I got some ultra thin Lifestyles, and I hope they'll be better...

Any other tricks? How about pouring some lube into the condom before putting it on? Does that increase pleasure?

My current gf won't get on the pill, so it's condoms.

Do NOT pour lube into the condom, but you can put a few drops in the tip before you roll it on. That will increase sensation significantly. We put a few drops of silicone lube in the very tip of the reservoir, pinch above it, then put it on like usual. The lube stays around the head, he gets more feeling, and the condom has never slipped off.

Especially since they're your only form of birth control, be aware that the thinner condoms are more likely to break. So, make sure you're meticulous about putting it on correctly and lubing both the tip and outside to reduce friction.

Sure, sex feels better without a barrier, but if you're having sensitivity issues, you might consider cutting back on masturbation. It seems like most guys who complain about not feeling anything/much with condoms are either heavier/more frequent masturbators, or have convinced themselves condoms reduce sensitivity to the point of not enjoying sex. Try not masturbating at all and lots of foreplay, and see if it helps during sex. You might also try a cockring and prostate stimulation (like from a small, vibrating butt plug) during sex - many men report increased sensation and pleasure with those.

There are many options besides the pill and other hormonal birth control. You should both go to the doctor or a family planning clinic like Planned Parenthood to see about getting on an additional form of birth control if you can't afford to be parents at this point. Condoms are effective when used consistently and properly, but they're definitely not as good as two effective methods. We use condoms and the Fertility Awareness Method (EVERYONE should read this book whether they want to use FAM or not).

I stick with Trojan spermicidal. Trojan has been the most comfortable that I have used.

Just be aware that a lot of women are allergic or really sensitive to spermicide, so you should probably have a non-spermicidal variety on hand and ask your partner if she has a preference beforehand. Nothing kills the mood like the sensation of battery acid in our pussies.

:)

Thanks so much for the tips! Actually, I just started seeing this girl after a particularly long dry spell...I had been masturbating so much that it was obvious that the sensation was being dulled.

I've stopped masturbating with my hands...actually, to get myself used to condoms again, I put on a condom and hump between two firm pillows. This is really getting me used to the sensation of condoms, and actually yesterday I was able to feel lots of pleasure while having sex with my girlfriend, using a condom. It was the first time I orgasmed while using a condom with her...it's been a LONG time since I've had to use condoms!

But the feeling is coming back.

Not sure if this is just an Aussie Brand, but you really need to try the Four Seasons - Naked.

They are fabulous! Having tried a few different brands this type feel the closest to not having a condom on at all.

Also I put a bit of lube on the tip of my boyfriend's penis as well as the outside of the condom and he says that increases the pleasure a bit too.

I usually use regular trojans. I occasionally enjoy the 'twisted pleasure' model.
Thats a poplar condom. So popular that I got some. Haven't used any! :( Thanks for the pointers.

lube in condom

Just a few drop in it before you roll it on helps. I've had a codom break on me twice in my life. Both times when I was younger and I wasn't using lube on the outside. Too much friction will break it!

Just use them for anal now. Mainly for my own protection.. hmmm that leads me to another quesion.. think I'll start a new thread.

For years I always used Lifestyles, and I still think there great, but last time I purchased condoms I bought a Durex Variety Pack, which has turned out to be loads of fun. Some of them are ribbed, stubbed, flavored....etc. My SO really liked the "Her Pleasure" condoms that were included.

Durex do a really good range of condoms, this is the only brand I use now but beware of the new Durex 'sensation' ones. Not sure what they are called because I threw the packet out. They have menthol one that is supposed to give a little 'heat' to both man and woman - not true LOL - I must be allergic to menthol because I got more than just a little heat, I was on fire - most uncomfortable sex I've ever had.

Oh god. Crown condoms. They are the BEST
super thin and super strong ;]
Used them for three years with no problem. ohhh love<3

Very true, I've had partners who've developed a yeast infection - like reaction to the spermicide that Torjon uses.

I went and bought some today! I'm looking forward to the weekend :D

I've tried them all and I think the best ones are the ones with a balloon shaped end. They feel better than ultra thin ones because they allow some movement around the end of your penis. I can't use any other kind, these are the only ones that allow enough stimulation for me to keep it up and come.

They're a normal shape except at the end where they have a round balloon shaped end...have a go of them with a drop of lube in the tip.

I use trojans, the unlubed kind with no resivoir tip. My GF likes to add ID Glide if we feel we need lube.

I work in a porn store and always suggest Trojans over other brands. I have had a Durex break on me more than once and other brands just arent comfortable.

You have to go what you feel comfortable with, but I reccomend Trojans cause theyre the most sturdy.

Trojan Supra Condoms

We use the Trojan Supra Condoms, because I have a latex allergy. He says that he doesn't mind using a these condoms because you can feel alot thru them. We have noticed tho that you have to be more careful while putting them on because the base will tear if you are too rough, but we have never had one break or tear while being used. It also says that the risk for pregnancy are unknown, so we use a back up like the spermacide inserts. They are more expensive, but we can buy them from our local walmart instead of going to our adult bookstore which is almost a half an hour away. I hope this helps.

Trojan also puts out a "Pleasure Pack".
It's 12 condoms for like $10 and comes with 4 of their Shared Pleasure, 2 Mint Tingle, 2 Twisted Pleasure, and 2 Her Pleasure. The verity can sometimes be very nice. I leave them all in a bed side drawer and every time I roll over and pull one out it's like playing a guessing game. LOL.

I used to hate condoms because of the one-size fits all mentality of say 10 years ago. My penis is rather thick and normal condoms were very uncomfortable to put on and often as not I lost my erection in this frustrating attempt.

Then I discovered that Trojan makes a LARGE lubricated condom and it is perfect for someone like me. It is easy to spot in the display as it comes in a green box.

As an aside, I have never put a drop of lube in the reservoir tip before and want to try this...is there a recommended lube to use??
