Louisiana congressman John Kennedy lectures VP Kamala Harris that people in Appalachia don't give a "function" about lack of tampons after a hurricane.

And Kennedy and his white patriarchal "elk" (sic) want to reserve the right of exclusive control over the bodily autonomy of women come this November.

A new spin on "Let them bleed out in the parking lot!" ....it's not just for hospital miscarriages anymore!
Would you leave your children alone with that guy?

Does he not have any women in his life? Damn, dude! Let me tell you, while my own wife is menopausal and my granddaughters are a bit too young for tampons, the absence of tampons would be a major issue for someone like my stepdaughter. Seriously, dude? Wow! If you won't have any empathy for nameless women in another state, just imagine that they're the women in your own life, if you have any. That should be a good start.

THIS! THIS is the question that voters should be asking in addition to if they were better off 4 years ago in the midst of a pandemic! The head of the GOP and most of its members, looking at you Boebert , Cruz, Vance, Hawley, Santos, Robinson, etc., would not be allowed to babysit my children nor yours.

I wouldn't let Ted Cruz cat-sit my cats, let alone my granddaughters.

NC repubican'ts tell right wing conspiracy retards to fuck off.

Yeah, but here’s the thing…

These republicans are still kinda spineless too!

They know damn well who all the conspiracy theorists are, where the distractions are coming from, and who the nefarious folks are but they refuse to call them out by their names! 😡

They go as far as they dare, but they don't stick their necks out and risk getting them chopped while there's still a chance that Trump wins. They fear his retribution. Ever notice that most of the bravest Republicans are those no longer worried about any kind of pushback or consequences?

And they wonder what we could possibly mean when we say that men are given the default status.

Not only is he not thinking of women, he's actively dismissing their needs.

Plus for funsies politicizing products women need.

Oh, I know!
IMO Liz Cheney and Adam Kinzinger are the only heroes here. Those 2 spoke truth to power and suffered real consequences. I’m lukewarm and highly skeptical of the likes of Scaramucci, Cassidy Hutchinson, Olivia Troye and Stephanie Grisham - folks who should have known better but youth and upward mobility fooled them into working for the asshole. You will never hear me give a glowing platform to the Romney’s (Rona, Mitt), the Kelley’s, and the McConnell’s of the world. F’in cowards.

LOL. He's obviously never run out of tampons. When you need 'em, you need 'em.

Rural and small town Appalachian women may have experience with making their own feminine products. As a woman, that is a skill I would at least practice with awareness of supply chains becoming more fragile and sometimes breaking, as the TP panic buying showed us a few years ago.

In a survival situation where your lives are on the line, here are five choices and you can only pick four:

1) clean water
2) food
3) shelter
4) medicine
5) tampons

What would be your choices?

What if you can only pick 3? Or 2? Or 1?

Well, I came here wanting to learn about hurricane relief efforts but ya damn right I’m staying for the DIY tampons!
