I predicted Trump will keep his mouth basically shut for the first 10-15 minutes of the debate so that Fox, OAN as well as the RWCJ (Right Wing Circle Jerk) can coo about how "presidential" he appears.

He'll go off the rails eventually, that is as close to a statistical certainty as you'll ever see.

It'll be interesting which sound bite is retweeted the most tomorrow morning.

And I wonder what sort of "gotcha" questions the peckish ABC commentators have for Kamala Harris. I hope its no one of those ill-conceived "whaddabout meeee?" diatribes about Harris refusing to submit to press conference set pieces. She's proven she is quite capable of putting her point out there, and doesn't let the perfumed princes and princesses of Inside The Beltway control teh narrative.

Apropos of nothing, there was a great video on TikTok yesterday (I'll try and find a link).

Female police officer defuses a domestic situation where overbearing 50-something mother kept pounding on her 30-something daughter's house front door and daughter does NOT want to talk to mom. BTW, Daughter is filming the encounter.

Mother is ordered to leave. She grumbles, turns around to leave, then suddenly pulls down her pants and undies and squats, mooning both daughter and cop. WTF? Cop is momentarily stunned, then tells mother she's under arrest for gross public indecency.

Mother, who doesn't look to be in the greatest shape, takes off like an Olympic sprinter and gets about 150 yards away before cop can react. Cop sprints after her, trying to close the distance...

...all the while daughter is chanting "taser! taser! taser!"

Cop fires her taser and mother goes all rigid and drops face-first on asphalt road like a statue falling.

Let me see if I can find a link. Moonshots and Taser shots....we're living in a golden age, folks.

i feel i need to watch but i cannot abide looking at or hearing trump AT ALL

the fact he gets to lie and lie and lie without being called on it by the hosts, and the fact that most the media is refusing to make a deal out of his rants'n'rambles like they did President Biden's slips only makes it worse for me to endure.

we'll see... i might wait for the coverage and if K did a great job decimating him then i might watch the entire thing.

I believe Harris has the skills and will be able to ‘win’ this debate. I’m upset that anyone of either political parties has to share a debate stage with trump. Him being there is a normalization of all the disqualifying things he’s done.

As I said up above, I think Harris needs to—and will—go for the throat. Talk over Trump, get him flustered and confused. Humiliate him and make him look weak and stupid. He has such a thin skin and is so easy to bait, there’s a good chance Harris can prod him into storming off the stage in a blind rage.
