🇺🇸 Harris vs. Trump Debate Thread: 9/10, 9pm EST 🇺🇸

and look at how Tulsi's integrity has stood the test of time: she now supports trump. not one to be trusted

Kamala Harris is 3.5 years into a vice-presidency, has learned and developed a lot in that time over and above her already acquired talents in her former roles.

She was a national laughingstock and an embarrassment just three months ago and the party elders were openly talking of dismissal. I don't know what revisionist history you're following, but it's not gonna con independents like me. I'm not brainwashed like that.

Also, Tulsi has held consistently to her anti-war positions from day one and she exposed the lies of the "progressive prosecutor" Harris, like it or not. Harris is a chameleon. She might win as the anti-Trump, but she doesn't actually stand for anything. Except maybe for the party elites.

That was also five years ago. Shrugs.

Kamala and the other ACTUAL Democrats also had to conform to some level of decorum when attacking their own during the Democratic Primary in 2020: Tulsi “The Traitor” Gabbard was under no such restrictions.

Tulsi “The Traitor” Gabbard was basically a MAGAt / Putin stooge that was allowed on the Democratic Primary debate stage. There was really no answer for her lines of attack.

🤬

(In all fairness, Bernie Sanders had a similar advantage in the 2016 Democratic Primary that he exploited to great effect, but he didn’t come across as a full on traitor like Tulsi Gabbard did.)

😑

They seem to ignore every debate she's been in and every response she's given except that one exchange.

He's after his unicorn but bitches the most about democrats. I take it for what it's worth.

No she wasn't. Again that is just not true. That is a conservative talking point.

ETA - this is your "logic". In your first paragraph the party elites want to toss her but in the second paragraph she is kowtowing to them. Yeah. You bet your bippy.

He's after his unicorn

That one admitted to being autistic in another post, and that they have an issue with being hyper-focused (OCD).

That ^ explains their obsession with finding a “unicorn” (a perfect candidate) and their inability to accept that perfect is the enemy of good.

Attempting to persuade an autistic pedant about anything is a waste of time - and it’s almost a form of abuse.

😑

I've reconsidered my opinion of how Vice President Harris should handle Donald Trump tonight. John Stoehr changed my mind. Harris shouldn't try to bait Trump. Rather she should forcefully ignore him when he tries to bait her. Treat him like a non-entity, like he's an annoying little nobody.

We saw this technique during Harris' CNN interview with Dana Bash. Bash tried to bait Harris into lashing out at Trump, but when the Vice President just shrugged it off with "same old, same old ... next question?" Bash was flabbergasted. She didn't know how to respond when the Vice President didn't play her stupid mean-girl game.

I'm really worried about Dana Bash lately. The wheels seem to be coming off the bus with her. Is she mentally ill? I have to wonder.

Hey, hey hey! I think SevMax2 is an idiot too, but don't ding him for being on the spectrum!

It's not being autistic that makes him an asshole. It's all the bad conservative ideas he's uncritically taken on board.

Actually that makes a lot of sense.

I won't consider you an asshole for being neurotypical, either. I just don't agree with your "uncritically taken on board" neoliberal left public policy prescriptions that are just flat-out wrong. I do appreciate that you aren't attacking me for my condition. It's not a mental defect. It's simply a divergence from neurotypical thought processes. Neurotypical thinking doesn't even make sense to me, to be perfectly frank.

I honestly halfway expect to just watch this election with a kind of gallows humor, and then maybe make up my mind which option sounds less painful some time around Election Day itself. I'm in Texas, anyway, so it's not likely to be decisive. It feels like a choice between a root canal and a prostate exam.

Oh, I’m not dinging them for being on the spectrum, OR their erratic / scattered political ideologies.

They are what they are.

Now that I know their mental status, I can freely dismiss everything they say as rabbit hole droppings.

I actually have sympathy / empathy for them now, rather than the antipathy I harbor for the standard right (and left) wing sea lions and trolls.

👍

I'm so on the spectrum, but autistic girls are more tightly policed than autistic boys so we learn how to mask early. You should really consider casting a vote for Kamala Harris in November. Texas is in play. Trump is so unpopular we actually stand a chance of flipping it this year.

Which one is giving you which?

because you can get a stiffy from prostate stimulation unlike root canals, soooooooo...I think your lingam knows the truth of your...uhhh..."bent." :ROFLMAO:
