Day 30 - 2020’s

Jerusalem youth chorus, a collaboration of Jews and Arabs for cultural understanding and peace. I wish there was so much more of this in this beautiful land

A fitting end to an excellent week of posts from you!
Thank you for all of the fantastic, and inspiring, song selections!

Day 30: A song from the 20s

Love them, or hate them, the Chili Peppers are a divisive band.
I'm the former camp. Unlimited Love is a phenomenal album.

RHCP - Black Summer

Fantastic song choice! I almost picked a different song from this same album, before going with a band that I more predictably support.
I totally agree with what you said about 'Unlimited Love'! In fact, I'm going to double down...
'Unlimited Love' and 'Return of the Dream Canteen' just might be my favourite Red Hot Chili Peppers albums!
Now I realize that will be a controversial statement, but it really shouldn't be. I've purposely avoided any kinds of pointless descriptors like "best", and just said that they might be my "favourites". Or they might not.
But my only real point is that this is a band I've enjoyed for over thirty years, and I own pretty much everything they've done, and yet I'm as excited for their current work as for any of their classics. Pretty cool.
(I can hardly even think of a comparable situation, other than maybe Madonna... who put out my favourite run of albums twenty-ish years deep into her legendary career. Respect.)
And I'm going to pay your song choice the ultimate compliment... because in spite of my habitual rigidity, you've actually caused me to alter my playlist that was already prepared for my drive to work tomorrow. Getting out my CD case now... so out comes 'Danzig 3'... and in goes 'Unlimited Love'.
Thank you again, for the fantastic song selection!

Day 1: A song with a month name in it

One of my favorite songwriters is Jesper Binzer of D-A-D.
He's grasped wordplay in a way that never ceases to amaze may.

D-A-D - Jacketless in December
You always end up empty; so full of yourself
I can safely say now, even oldest of tricks that exist
that you can still disappoint a pessimist

Sun Kil Moon - Blue Orchids

Not in title but lyrics are timely.

When she comes by every morning
Brings back pink and pale blue orchids
When she comes by every afternoon
Piano music weeps quietly
As May melts into June
When she comes by every evening
Lays down beside me softly breathing
