Honestly, this doesn't make me want to... no one song does. What this does have is that brooding feel, the low rumble as Paul Kimble's bass kicks on, the soft shuffle of the drums from Joey Peters and Grant's voice, the timbre of it, swooping and growling. I used GLB's (and others') songs in a 'playlist' for a story, helped by someone here (who knows who they are), using bits of lyrics and song titles as a central piece to some action.

It is far too late for me to be writing this, but I woke up from a dream and can't go back to sleep, so here we are. And this is a dreamlike song, sung from the standpoint of a lighthouse. I live in the PNW, and love to visit all the lighthouses along our beaches, so I adore it for that as well. From bluegrass band Nickle Creek's eponymous debut album, it is a beautiful little song about the lighthouse who loves his keeper and his keeper's soon-to-be bride. The song is driven by Chris Thile's vocals and skillful mandolin playing and given beautiful depth by the harmonies of the other two members, the siblings Sara and Sean Watkins. This song is light, and sweet, and it will fucking tear your heart out. You're welcome.
