Day 10: A song you like that tells a story

Joe Henry - This Close To You
Now, i'm not sure what the story is... Joe is a master writer, one of my favourites (ok, THE favourite), but he leaves enough for you to fill in the gaps. The album version of this has the Jayhawks backing him, but this is a fab live version.
Why is he leaving? Where is he going? That line about them talking in their sleep... whatever, he's not coming back.

Day 10: A song you like that tells a story
Every Thanksgiving it's the same thing. We sleep in, watch the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade on tv, then book it out to the car to get the radio on for the classic rock station's noon playing of Arlo Guthrie's "Alice's Restaurant" as we drive to the in-law's.

In my house, this marks the beginning of the acceptable Christmas music season. Pretty sure it’s in the Bible somewhere. “Thou shalt not listen to Christmas music until after the airing of Alice’s Restaurant”. Arlo 4:20.

WMGK by chance??? and BTW this is not a story it's like a war and peace novel!
