Day 9: A song that features percussion instruments

What do you mean acoustic guitars have no whammy bar? Fuck it, I'll just re-tune it while playing then!
Drums? Nahhh just use the body!
Snare?! I think you meant fingersnails-on-wood?!

Jon's one of those people who looked at the guitar and what he saw was an entire new dimension.
He's an absolute wonder to watch.

A true virtuoso... great pick!

Day 9: A song that features percussion instruments

James Hymn From A Village
The intro popped into my head when i read the prompt.
i have danced (very badly) and screamed the words many a time in the 80's... not sure they still play it, but they went through a phase of chucking in some of the really early songs in their live sets a few years back. The best band from Manchester

King Crimson: Indiscipline
Bill Bruford drum solo. Bill can play it all; rock, prog, fusion, jazz... you name it... a great percussionist

Great call. A friend and I were just discussing the song Elephant Talk.

Day 9: A song that features percussion instruments

Not your typical punk rock song. Amazing drumming. But it’s the whole way it’s done…. Just a wall of percussion throughout. I’m guessing there were multiple drummers??? But a wall of tom toms... This totally sums up my sr year of hs.

Day 9: A song that features percussive instruments.
Drums and voice, and it isn't gimmicky in the least. It is an English language cover of the song "Livido Amniotico" by Italian group Subsonica, featuring Veronika Coassolo who does the vocals on this version as well.

Ravel is one of my Impressionist faves. Bolero in particular always snared me with ease.

Sorry, I had to do it. Here's some Apocalyptica by way of apology.

Day 9: Percussion
I don't know the song title. I don't know the band. I don't know the drummer. I just know that shit gets crazy about a minute in.

...ok - the drummer's name is Nao Kawakita
Maybe it's just when you know it's coming but it seems like she's working harder at restraining herself during the first minute than when she's giving us everything the rest of the time lol.

This is random but do you remember if there was a show running during the 90s in LA? I remember seeing constant commercials for Stomp. Felt like enough to last a year but maybe it was only a few weeks. It does look pretty fun!

I do vaguely remember those commercials. Probably at the Pantages?
