Day 29: A song from the 20s +7

A woman with magic is fine with him if
That magic is between her thighs
Rise up, oh, flame, come join the game
They started a frenzy, but we'll take the blame
A bare chested dame who goes by no name
Their arsenal's empty, all they got is shame

Same Old Energy - Kiki Rockwell

Mmmm such delicious goth

Don't eat the goths!

Day 29: A song from the 20s

Could easily have been something by Dua Lipa or Kane Brown but Morgan Wallen can definitely sing a good song...

The Cure - There is no if

This song is so beautiful and it always makes me cry.

”You yawned and I had to say it over
I said, "I love you I said", you didn't say a word
Just held your hands to your shining eyes
And I watched as the tears ran through your fingers
Held your hands to your shining eyes and cried
"If you die", you said, "So do I", you said
But it ends the day you see how it is
There is no always forever, just this, just this”
Love that one too.

Ever hear "somebody" by Depeche Mode?

Day 30: A song that was or should be used in a scary movie

Squirrel Flower - When A Plant Is Dying
The whole album this is from has a dark feel, often SF's songs sound like the wee small hours, but this time the night is filled with an edge, brooding and full of shadows.

Day 30: A song that was or should be used in a scary movie

I actually wrote this prompt with a different song from this movie in mind, but then I remembered I’ve posted it before! Not a rule, just a personal guideline that. Plus, this is a really great one, too.
As heard in Donnie Darko:

Tears For Fears - Head Over Heels

Ps. @SalaciousMonkey22 you look so handsome repping my team in this video ⚾️

Day 30: A song that was or should be used in a scary movie

What's the scariest instrument? The church organ. Doubtlessly. There's something so incredibly eerie about it, if you hear it outside of a church. But I can't come to think of a song I like which uses them, so, I'll settle for a synth mimicking one.

The intro could be used in any sort of horror film!

Ozzy Osbourne - Mr Crowley

That wraps up another decades week!
If you got +7 for the week, you earned yourself a second song pass.

I’d like everyone to think about their favorite prompts that we’ve done this year and reply to this post letting me know which one(s) you loved and would like to see again.
Woohoo! In just two days the thread turns 1 πŸ₯³ Congratulations on having the most fun thread on the forums!

My favorite prompt would be A song in a different language! (non english)

Great song!

I was about to choose Black Sabbath and their original song, Black Sabbath.

Dammit, dammit, dammit... I keep the same rule. I had a post all written up, then I searched the thread. I used it already, way back when I started here!

Back to the stacks...

Day 30: A song that was or should be used in a scary movie

Die Kreuzen (The Crosses) were an amazing hardcore band. Their first album was fast, furious and angry with screeching vocals. Then their second album, October File, was far slower, much moodier and overall really interesting. Everyone accused them of going in a metal direction, but it was just a different direction.

This whole album is really Moody and perfect for a horror movie. This song in particular I always thought would be great outro as the credits begin to roll.

Die Kreuzen- Among The Ruins

😁 Today I will use one of my rewards so I can post two songs. (I'll use my second tomorrow.) 😌

Day 30: A song that was or should be used in a scary movie

Was: Ghostbusters - Ray Parker Jr.

Should: She Wolf - Hot Chip
Yes. This version. Not Shakira's. I love her version but this version is creepier.

My favorite prompt that I want to see return was the "shuffle/random song." ❀️
