Sorry to interject guys, but I think I know whom you’re referring to. We shared similar user names and an interest in poetry and some work she was doing on recordings of war veterans. I lost touch with her also around that time, sadly.

I do think of her often and hope she’s still doing okay swimming happily out there somewhere.

I have no idea what your knees look like, but I'm guessing that whatever makes them imperfect is the stuff that shows your brilliant accomplishments, your adventurous nature, and/ or your tenacious spirit.
