Bottom line is while I'm planning on whining all year (or after the 1st) I strongly dislike this rule. Mostly because I think it's kinda confusing.
I think with most stories it can be highly difficult to define the difference between a chapter and a sequel and it sounds like ripe territory for serious debates. Here's my basic example.
I was planning on writing a set of stories. One was a woman masturbating. It ends with her getting caught. The second story was about a woman who was being blackmailed. Now the second story is without a doubt a second story. Both stand on their own however (or at least as alone as many other stories) I've read countless blackmail stories that started off with the the blackmail already in place.
All I would have to do would be hit ctrl+f and replace every mention of Karen with Sara and they'd stop being chapters and instead be two separate stories.
In the end it just comes down to trusting the mods to do their job and do it well and to also trust the rest of the contestants not to be whiners.
