Sometimes the simplest poems take the longest to write.

The words may seem simple but interconnecting them, paring it back making sure you have intended imagery, meaning and you express what you want takes the time in my experience so far.

I like the combination of the macabre with light verse perhaps because it makes the macabre a little less macabre and light verse a little lighter. I thought Tess's "A Dignified Death" did that so well.

As to metaphysics by Tzara, well, I decided to write a sequel poem, came up with the title, "Via Negativa," but then I was at a loss for words.
