It's been awhile since I've posted, so I wanted to ask what the requirements were to deem a story abandoned.

Each moderator has their own criteria. Mine is unapproved threads and no response to email for 3 months.

Since there are no pending threads, I am loathe to transfer editorship. Why don't you write for the story, add a thread or two on different storylines, and then wait to see what happens. If in three months, those threads are still unapproved, I'll set you up as editor.

Apart from that, I just remade Sex with Consequences...(Wanted a reset, not that the threads weren't great, but it wasn't really MY story anymore...)

And since I created another version of Book of Magic with a male protagonist, I have no trouble reversing BoM to you.

It's just b/c it's bugging me that I have so many open threads nobody's adding to (& I find myself unable to), & 1 or 2 I can add to that don't currently give me the option to do so.

I think your standard rule of thumb is most appropriate. If a story hasn't been touched in a year, well, it's still up to date. The assumption should be the editor is on top of it.

I think editorship/ownership should only be changing where it can be demonstrated that 1) the job isn't being properly discharged and 2) there has been some disadvantage as a result. To wit: a thread left unapproved for too long.
