Adopt-a-story program

Can I ask for this story: Jenny's New Life? Threads have been pending for ages now, and it's driving me nuts, because I really like the idea of this story!

According to my calculations, these threads haven't been approved in two weeks. Another thread was approved in May. I don't consider that to be abandoned.

As frustrating as it can be to have pending threads, please wait until the thread is pending for at least two months (well, that's my cut-off anyway) before requesting adoption.

Fair enough. It's just a bit of a bugger. The author seems to resurface for a couple of days, and then vanish for months and months. I once had a thread awaiting approval for more than 6 months, then just as I get it approved I (stupidly) edit the thrread slightly, and end up back at square one!

The problem is I have a thread to approve, but it is for the story I adopted. It shows when I look at the approve list. So I was wondering if it is the same for everyone with their adopted stories?

Yes, this is a known problem. If you aren't the Creator of a story (which can't be changed by a moderator, while Editor can), that number is zero if you have pending threads to approve in adopted stories.

I get email notification when someone adds to my stories, and this works for editors. So, I get informed when there are threads to approve, and don't rely on the link number.

Yes, plus I try to make it habit to click on the zero and look anyway each time I log in (just in case!)
 
I've had a thread pending in You're Not My Daddy since May 6, and I was wondering if I could have it yet.

I was just looking thru my threads, & it appears I have 1 that hasn't been approved or denied from May in "A WWE Experience", & others have untouched threads in the same story since longer.

Back again and hoping to adopt

HI all,
I haven't posted threads for over a year, I guess, watching the progress, or lack thereof in the meantime. I have restarted with the little raunchfests that I had been doing online, and hope to continue with the more elaborate storylines I cut and paste, mainly run by those here, tho probably not with the hectic pace I tried before. The reason for my post here is I was wondering if I could adopt Sausage King's 'The Babysitter' since the threads haven't been approved since my (and others') posts of last April ('05)

Whatever you can do will be appreciated, especially with those two, that I have a particular soft spot for, and haven't worked on for some months.
