AFTER - hoping for some feedback

Holy cow, tawny one! You've made my day, once again.

Gosh, there's nothing to compare to having a phrase or a piece of dialog I've written held up before me and praised. Where did you get your PhD in ego stroking, may I ask?

It was especially gratifying to hear that, in the course of part two of After, I wooed you back (most of the way, at least) from your grief for Eva, and your burning need to know just what that pesky apocalypse was all about. :)

And of course you're more than welcome for any help I've given along the way. :rose:

A thousand thanks for this.

:) It was my pleasure as always! As for the ego stroking, well, it's easy when it is sincere, and Part II certainly touched me in many ways.

As I said, while one POV is that men are depicted for what they REALLY are in this story, I think that misses the point, I think it's more men responding to a desperate, hopeless situation, and that you certainly find in Gareth, and John, and the others, the tenderness, the compassion, and the love that brings out the best in men...I think you did that beautifully!

Thanks to me? It was nothin'...thanks to you for such a wonderful story :rose::kiss:

"AFTER" has been published!

I'm thrilled to say that AFTER has been published!

Thanks to all who've posted in this thread with kind praise and constructive criticism, to those who've read my stories over the years and gently stroked my ego while I've been struggling with the next chapter, and to all those who've generously responded to my many pleas for feedback and advice. The camaraderie and friendship I've found here has been a big part of the joy of writing and putting my stories out there, and I seriously have all you to thank for this success.

Congratulations! I love this story. I cried and wished and hoped as if your characters were real and their story was happening. To me that's what makes a good writer. And you go well beyond "good".:)

Wow, thank you. As exciting as having my novels published is, it's hard to beat hearing that kind of praise. :rose:
