Anyone for a nightcap?

is my time zone.

Just remember that I am starting cocktails about the time you are eating dessert... :D

And I am consuming cocktails (or wine) as dessert. What's your point? :p

I can't help it if your state treats Daylight Savings Time like some sort of Luddite conspiracy.

So is Malbec not jammy? Am I nuts?
It's not necessarily especially jammy, but you're totally not. Any variety can be badly done and any bottle can be that bum bottle in a case. I've had one of my favorite buys come out like a rubber tire once when I was trying to show off my suave picking out skills!

I've had some that are, but it should be kind of round without being totally obnoxious, just really good food-lovin' friendly red.

I had dessert before dinner.

But after cocktails.

I can't help it about my state either. It was that way when I got here.

And frankly, the least of my worries. Even if I get a couple-of-weeks long headache twice a year while trying to adapt. ;)

Spiced rum and Coke Zero. Not as a nightcap, exactly, but out on the porch watching the day wind down while the grill does my cooking for me.

We really should have a thread or marker or something of the sort with all the different timezones and what areas fall in what zone. Maybe a spot on your profile for your timezone and what that translates to elsewhere. Apparently it's hard to remember the difference between CET and any of the North American zones for the average person.

Now, I'll give them a break because Daylight Savings is different over here, but still, most of the year it's really, really easy to figure out.

I believe that's a frog doing the tongue-sticking-out thing. Is there something you want to tell us about that Diet Coke? ;)

snickering at the idea of having to kiss a number of frogs to find a prince...sorry Yank, just couldn't resist.

My Diet Coke? Nope no secret. Lack of sugar is the reason. I like wine, but rarely drink when I'm on my own. I'll try my other 'regular' and drink a soda water and lime later on, okay. :rose:

It's actually a pretty dang good wine, or so says the girl that doesn't really like reds.

Never tried this kind of menage a trois, so can't say. I think I saw that they make white wine and a rose as well when I was searching for that image.

Wise woman. I get into trouble when I drink on my own.

Oohh...the bubble bath is SO tempting tonight...just don't have a deep enough tub! (You have to be able to soak all the way to your chin for a really GOOD bubble bath...;))

Having a Sam Summer with lemon...ahh..

That sounds good. Both the salad and the bubble bath.

And while I have all of the ingredients on hand for such a salad, I frankly do not have the energy to do more than nuke a quiche from TJ's. Although I still have fresh blackberries and lemon sorbet for dessert. :)

Today was a manual-labor day. I will likely take a bath. But without bubbles. Mostly because I don't have any bubbles on hand... :(
