Really glad you made the leap to start posting!

I would definitely say I am a lurker. I've been an on and off member for probably 3-4 years. I enjoy perusing different threads and posting when I feel I have something to share or to encourage more sharing (picture threads!). I sometimes log onto chat when I am in the mood and I have the time.

Sorry if you feel ignored-please don't go away! As a newbie to try forum, I just kinda post as I want. If they don't like me doing that then tough tittie! I've bit my tongue all my life so as not to offend and here is one of the few places I can pretend to be anonymous and exercise my 1st amendment rights and not feel judged. Besides, I think I'm pretty funny at times. LOL

You could put something in your profile about what you're looking for. Right now, you say you're looking for connections with open-minded people so.... maybe that's what the folks messaging you think they're doing.

I started posting the first day I got on LIT...think in was the GB...ouchee...then I found the Playground and have been having a wonderful time ever since...now and again I pop up in fetishes even posted in GLBT...and a while ago in BDSM...and now...LOL.

To me the whole idea of LIT is just to jump in and let yourself go...explore whatever you want and remember whether IRL or on any boards...some people will like you...some people will not like you and some people will ignore you...so what? You can meet a lot of great, sexy and fun people here...so embrace those and forget about the rest!

I second this (including the 'back to lurking' part). Sometimes I find threads that are interesting, but the conversation has been going on for pages and pages, and I just don't have the energy to read far back enough to pick up the thread of the chat.

Mine is the opposite. I've spent more time than I care to admit reading through old threads. It's weirdly satisfying to see past drama. I especially like reading different perspectives than mine. Or reading someone's post who feels exactly like I do but says it much better. My lack of energy is for responding. Lately, I can't seem to string together the right words to express how I feel. Once in a while, I go on a bender and post post post. Mostly, though, I don't welcome the window in to my thoughts. Gosh, that sounds Scrooge-like! More just tired...
