Avatars, how much do they 'say' about a person?

I used to use pics of women...not me...that touched me some how. Now I only use pics of me...one pose only...that shows my love of lingerie, especially bras and panties. Anyone that knows me knows how I love shopping for lingerie and have a bit of a collection. I change it whenever the whim strikes me.

I used to have redheaded dolls or pictures of redheads as my av. Within the last 2 weeks, I have revealed the real me....

I don't think I am making a statement but, would love to hear other's take on that opinion.

I change it when the mood strikes me. In the past, I would go with seasonal or holiday type avs. Right now, I don't know what I will use next.

See, that's funny. I always liked what you had to say but I certainly also formed sort of an opinion of you looking at your Av's. To me you came across as kinda innocent and very girly, almost in an inmature kinda way (hoping you understand what I mean) using those pictures. I'm not saying that you've totally shattered that image but the previous picture of you you used (the one with your hair up) I liked very much and made me look at you in a diffrent way again. I like it!

I have found that I censor what I post a little more with my picture attached to it.

I'm glad I haven't totally changed my image with the new avs. I have others that I am contemplating...we'll just have to wait and see.

I like to keep people guessing: "Smile, people will wonder what you are up to!"

This is a timely thread. I've just "earned my wings" so to speak. Others have encouraged me to put up my AV, but I must admit what a challenge I find it. But I am looking forward to putting up something...and soon, damn it.

It's like asking me what my favorite color is. My God, there are sooooo many to choose from, like aspects of me, what would I like to reveal, what would I convey here where sooo many intimate details are shared. Certainly something very real about me, I'm not feeling imaginitive enough like some who can be so clever...If I'm to be loved or hated, let it be for who or what I really am....

But then, I already find after just a short time on Lit, this helping to stimulate my right-brain. I seem to have fallen into a bit of a creativity dry-spell.

Any suggestions (preferably from some who have read some of my posts).?

I really like the personal AVs, it's nice to be able to put a face (or whatever) to the people here, plus I like the confidence it shows.
Can't say I have a favourite I'm far to eclectic to choose just a few.
Dear Lawyer Lady and Tigerjen both have AVs that grabbed me almost from the day I came here.
On the other hand I love the funny ones too Ej and Eilan in particular but also the art prints and... you get the idea.
