I'm guessing that I used a photo of actor Spencer Tracy as my av for at least half of my nearly 14 years on Lit. I don't own the copyright on any of those photos so now that Lit has taken a harder stance on the use of copyrighted imagery, I use only photos that I have taken.

The copyright crackdown is also what motivated my change. Early on at Lit I learned two things that changed my behavior here: 1) dick picks are not universally loved and 2) put your panties on after your garters. I learned both lessons from direct feed back following pics I had used as my av.

I then went to a photo of Pai Mei, from Kill Bill, for years because I would have liked to have been a Zen Master - perhaps I was in a past live.

The one I have now is me, naked in front of a motel window very early in the morning (less likely to be arrested) (sure I'm an exhibitionist, but jail does not sound appealing) (and if you look very closely you can still see a little bit of dick)(and it is just a little bit mysterious - sorta, maybe...).

Mine is a salvaged photo of a Dandelion flower taken near the Canadian border in Alberta. It was so out of focus (for some reason) as to be useless...messing around in PhotoShop made it into a fairly decent "poster image". I'll probably never change it because it makes it really easy to find my place in threads I hang out on.

I agree with what some others have said in regard to how one gets acquainted with the avatars of friends and it throws me off when they change them...who would have thought how handy these little images are

Pink is the sissy color.
The is a beautiful and dangerous flower. The pedals are soft and the fragrance of a single is sweat, but the smell of hundreds of can be overwhelming. Then there are those prickly thorns that stick and cut you.
Have another one that is on sissy stationary but She would not let sissy use that one, it is a little different.

I really like the flower, cool story how you salvaged the pics.

I also am tossed a bit when someone changes their AV. In my case I think it is because I am a bit of a lazy reader and pics make a stronger association them screen names for me.

Other avs? I don't enjoy cocks, but it does tell you something about the av bearers opinion of their worth and what they are offering. I am personally not someone who resonates with animation or cartoons, but lots of people who I value here do; so it's obviously not something I judge on ( I think i even throw up a cartoon unicorn every now and then). I find it interesting how people present them selves in pictures, and some who have very identifying pictures in professions where I would have felt it ...imprudent. This tells you I suppose a certain braveness of spirit.

What do you think of the fact that many others find dick pics off putting? Does this ever make you reconsider, wonder if you would make different connections with others? Or is showing what is yours part of your motivation for being here?

It interests me with the disregard for cockatars being no secret some are still ken on them. Good for them, we each have our reason for being here I guess
