That is always the interesting misunderstanding about Catholics. Like most churches they don't 'encourage' divorce. But it is permitted.

The kicker is that marriage is for life and a divorced Catholics cannot remarry and remain in the church.

The exceptions are an annulment of the marriage or the death of the other person, then you can remarry.

Oddly enough, and I don't know if this is relevant, but my own personal experience has been that the Catholics can be pretty hypocritical with their annulments and inconsistent in the "rules", per se.

Is there really any dogma anywhere that truly describes a group of people without exception?

Ya, I know WE can be!

:D

I just reread ES' initial posts.

There are so many "games" played in honor of love or intimacy that do not include BDSM.

We have touched on some.

But think about this.

Standing at the alter promising to "love, honor and cherish" your partner for all of your days. (Thank the powers that be that they are mostly done with the "obey" stuff, unless by choice! ;))

Well, when he leaves his socks balled up in the laundry, watches football rather than mows the grass and picks his nose at Thanksgiving dinner, how do you live up to your promises?

:D

Another really silly game, and I do mean game, is the pre engagement ring. What's up with that?

A ring to say you might want to get a ring for someone? Or is it really a dating ring? Gosh, some of these things get me so confused!

To be serious, it is all in the interpretation, as it is with BDSM. For some BDSM IS a game. For others, a necessary kink or fetish. Yet, for others it is a lifestyle, a means of sharing love, affection and making a life with someone.

To each his own, vanilla or chocolate, Catholic or Morman, Republican or Democrat.

:)

This troll changes her tactics every couple of weeks.

This is just more of the same bullshit.

So, now she's going to profess a new love for what she previously found disgusting.

Yeah, right, what the fuck ever.

Feed her at your own risk, folks.
