Dear You,
We could always dance in the warm sunshine before heading home.

~ me ~

The blurry image of the bicycle makes me smile the most... is that sad?? Have I missed the point? I do that a lot.... :-(

Yep. One of my co-writers already bailed on all of her threads. We were... 2 posts in a piece lol. So I have 1 active thread, and 1 thread in the planning stage, and another in negotiations.

I think I have four that I am doing, the most interesting ones IMO. People come and go, I am glad they waited for me while I was moving and couldn't write for several months except sporadically.

I don't think you've missed the point. The idea was to convey to someone that he could pick me up and carry me into a restaurant in my bare feet, or we could go on a picnic (what better way to get there than on a bike ride). It doesn't matter where we are as long as I am with him. He's the most important part of it.

And that is the best bit of all... shall we try a tandem?? :D

Am early start for you BFG, you ok? A sunny day here, perfect for an early spring picnic, all wrapped up and snuggled out of the wind I suspect. Aaah, one can dream and then the ping of a work email reminds me I have other mistresses today!! Have fun!

I was simply finding it hard to stay asleep, but got sorted out quickly. I hope you're having a good day. :D

What? Burying wooding your garden?

Amazing the steps you go to to get splinters ;)

Cheeky!

They're sanded and taken care of to look pretty... in the woods ... where I am hiding out.

How's your training? How many weeks until the marathon?

10 Weeks today, am increasing my distances at the moment, speed is OK.
Well I'll finish before the cut off time at any rate lol.

How's tricks in the woods?

When I make it to Australia, I will be looking for Tim Tams, mango, and something to wash it down with!

Don't ask about my week, I am trying to forget it! There's been one amazing constant throughout, so I won't complain loudly!!

Will you be going to the race? They won't be in the US until October, I think, but it's about 1000 miles away from where I live.

As far as the weather, I've been enjoying the sunshine and warmth. It's supposed to be up near 80 on Thursday, but we don't have much humidity here.

BTW March 9 is National Meatball Day!

Nope not going to the F1. I'm not really into it but will watch it on TV. Did go to the race one year and frankly couldn't work out who was who without looking up at the big monitors around the course. I found lots of people just wandering around not watching the race. The cost of sitting in the stands to me wasn't worth it since I'm not a rev head. Much rather go to a footy or cricket game.

We have rather good wine here in Australia. Not sure about how they go with Tim Tams but most people have coffee with Tim Tams and some do the coffee draw thru the ends. Just bite each end and suck the coffee thru the biscuit. If you want a proper coffee culture and good food then Melbourne, my home city, is the place to be. We are also the sporting capital of the country, we do sports events well. If you want all those tropical fruit then Queensland is the place to head to. It's where we get our local mangoes from. When you are planning to come down our way let me know and I can provide some tips on what's what and the best places to go depending on what you want to see.

I know you will do great!

If I ever get a chance to visit Australia, I will take you up on that!!!

Not a problem, any time. I've shown lots of friends around Melbourne and the other parts of the city that tourists don't know about. Melbourne is not advertised OS apart from the Grand Prix here in March so most tourists don't know much about it and are always surprised. Our tourist ads still mainly feature Sydney and the Harbour Bridge so we need to make more of an effort on that.

It's always funny when tourists think they can drive to the Great Barrier Reef from Sydney on a day trip :D

Hope your weekend is going well. We just got off daylight savings time here so the east coast is back to a single time zone and we get that 1 hr back.

It's been a while since I came here to get away, I chose another route and couldn't be bothered to find my way back. Until now.

I miss you, too, DarkSimian. I hope you will find this, since I just found your post. There are so many ways we have of contacting each other... like the phone... yet, we never seem to.

Des... happy birthday. You are my dearest friend and just writing this has made me smile. I look forward to days that are far less busy. :rose:

Bear.

One day, I need to get back to writing, but I am still healing. I don't want to sit at my laptop, and I don't want my laptop in my lap. But, I am not sure how much longer I can go without throwing myself back into writing.

Not looking forward to being on my feet most of today. I guess I could let my dad or my brother grill, but I have spent so much time perfecting this art form. And they're my ribs... what if they mess them up? In the past I have seen my dad boil the ribs then throw them on the grill.

The plan today, therefore, is to take my ice pad and my meds along with me, and not wait until the pain is too much to bear. At this rate, it will never heal properly.

Other than this injury, I had fun learning about wax play! ;)
