Things are good here. Are you ready for summer???

Cold? what 50f? LOL

It was 106 yesterday. The temperatures have been about that high all summer, so the other morning when we went outside and it was 85, the kids were all excited because it was a "nice day out here". Of course, it was only 9am.

It will be good for you to get into that sunshine and set your little piggies free!

LOL 50f I wish, it's been 32f and lower, little bit of snow, not much just a little.
But it's too cold for this Wolfie

Granted, 32 is cold! And snow, too?! That's crazy!
That's why I moved. If I want snow, I can visit the mountains...then leave! LOL

Poor Wolfie! :rose:

*stands outside waving my hands west to send warm air*

My son tells me it's cooling off this week since it'll only be 98.

Hi there twinkle toes

Totally opposite in weather down here in Melbourne town in the southern hemisphere. Too cold to be barefoot, down to 15C. Spent a very warm long weekend in the north of the country catching up with long term friends.

Temps should on the improve next month. Not a fan of the heat but then not a fan of wearing sox and slippers around the house, prefer being barefoot.

Hope your weekend is good.

Um.....barefootgirl70?

I'm irreplaceable ;)

That's the problem with cold weather, you have to put something on your feet. I call them "foot prisons".

Did you have a good time with your friends? Do you get up that way often?

Yes it was good to see them after all that time. One of them wasn't a mum last time I saw her now she has a child who is almost a teenager. And the other friend now has kids who are adults in their 20's. Obviously we all got older somehow. It was only a short visit but do intend to make a longer trip next time.

Nope I don't get up there often since they are in the north of the country and I'm in the south, but now that I'm retired I intend to make an effort to try and visit my friends around the country on a more frequent basis.

Hope your week is going well. Still cool and chilly here in Melbourne town at least for another couple of weeks, then its Spring so temps should start to get warmer and I can stop wearing sox at home.

Seems silly to waste it on cake.....:D

But, he likes cake....;)

I'm so sorry that I haven't been here and missed this, darkelf!

It sounds like you had a great time, I'm so glad! Now that the weather is getting warmer, you'll be able to get out more and visit friends and just enjoy things. Are you going near to Adelaide Hills this year? I still want to visit that area... of course, I want to visit all of Australia!

She decided to take a walk in the woods out behind the cabin... of course, no shoes were necessary. She just needed some time alone to think, and the quiet peacefulness of the woods provided a place of refuge to do just that. The only noise to be heard were the chattering birds and the scamper of little feet as the animals hid in the underbrush to watch her pass.

She took her time, touching the trees as she passed, feeling the earth under her feet. Eventually, her soul was filled once again and she began to make her way home again.

On her way, she stopped by the lake. The sun was setting and she could see the bubbles as the fish would come to the top to feed.
