Did you do them all? grrrrrrrr I so hate you ...... do the next lot then

http://www.nekogames.jp/mt/2007/09/2.html how do you catch the point of the star one and make it sit in the right place

The point moves in a direction depending on where the mouse pointer is. If it is above and to the right, the point moves up and to the left. The farther away the pointer is, the faster the point moves. I found that setting the pointer a bit above the point and slightly to the left, then tapping the mouse button causes the point to keep coming up. You have to keep moving the pointer though, else the point will move too quickly. The key is setting it gently ont he star. Once it's there, you can nudge it into place with quick clicks.

I cannot get the one that has the 40 in the middle and says "1 will get the star", and I can't get the one with the diagonal bar with multiple tones. Can't find what to do on either.

ETA: I figured out the former. Well, MIS figured it out, smart girl. The latter, still a quandary.

2ETA: Once again, MIS for Teh Win!

That one is near the end, and is one of th eones you reveal as you finish the earlier ones.

We're doing well enough, thanks for asking. Typical economy-related job woes, but otherwise fine. MIS is back in school and catching up brilliantly. She's doing a bang up job of knocking out her workload. viv has recently volunteered to lead a Tiger Cub Scout den, as our oldest son just joined the scouts and they needed a new Den Leader. She's also taken another small part-time job and is doing some volunteer work. Not sure where she gets the energy for all that, but she does.

sets phone on the bar, and rumages for the bottle of shiraz and the fruit and cheese. a full glass of deep red wine and i start to write

Went for my blood tests today nobody thought to tell me that I had to fast for 12 hours beforehand!
Oh no! So, tomorrow's another trip to the lab. I hope everything balances properly. Blood chemistry is no fun. I've begun taking Warfarin now, and I will for the rest of my life. I've been getting my protien response ratios measured through a blood test twice a week for the past 3. I'm looking a bit like a black and blue pin-cushion since I bruise easily now. I can truly identify with the inconvenience of getting to the collections room and then being sent home because of a lack of foresight on the doc's or nurses' part. Patience breeds patience. :rose:

They can't fit me in till the 29th now then the fun begins trying to get it out of me! I have deep veins and I don't let it go easily I used to give blood but it got so hard to get enough out of me in one go that I eventually gave up trying

I had a wonderful tech make my latest extractions successful and with minimal pain. Have them tourniquet the arm really tightly, then make your fist. As the lab tech feels for the vein at your elbow slowly rotate your wrist first one way and then the other. A good technician should be able to feel the vein as your bones roll beneath it, bringing it closer to the surface and on a straighter line. Just make sure they tell you to hold steady when they find the optimal wrist position.

I will try that thanks at the blood transfusion centre when I used to give blood they used to have me squeezing a rod or ball the nurses tried the doctor tried and sometimes they couldn't even find a good vein and even if they did the blood wouldn't flow fast enough to making giving viable. I am very good though when they are poking around in my arm I never flinch. BTW it's a nurse at my GPs practise that will be doing it, I could have gone to the hospital but opted to have it done at my surgery

This all reminds me that I am overdue (again ) for my A1C test and, prolly, a serum workup for liver and stuff--I've forgotten when I last had those done. *sigh* Looks like I need to factor some doctor's copays into this month's budget...

Our NHS may have a lot to moan about but at least it is free, do you still sell your blood over there or give it away for free?

I considered it at one time when I was in college, but then I had some kind of serum imbalance which makes you fail one of the tests they give before donating to the Red Cross (it gives a false positive for one of the Hepatitis strains) and figured if they couldn't use the blood, the other people prolly couldn't use my plasma. I never actually looked into it though.

But, yes, people still do that here, as far as I know.

the soup of the day is Butternut squash and there is a huge pot of it so everyone come up and help themselves, or i'd be happy to help you with anything you need:D

It is indeed a fine song.

Along with the soup, some fine bread, and maybe some fontina and a little smoked gouda?

oy vey, I'm still unpacking all the shiny things, and I really thought I'd be done by last monday. o well. But I'm going to work on another section of the underwear poetry reviews if I get a chance. I'm gone this weekend too, cause I get to go teach a class about sex, yay! But I get in here as much as I can and at least look around, even if I'm not having time to say anything intelligent.

Y'know, all this flirting that's going on is welcome in THIS thread, as always. You'll never have to worry if you're doing something wrong in the Bistro. That's what it's for, after all...

And meanwhile, HI Lady S. Hope your day is going swimmingly. Mine features piles of stones and a stationary drama front, but otherwise it's nice.

Here's a question I've been thinking about lately. Maybe it'll generate some poetry, even.

If I could go back and do one thing differently, knowing what I know now, what situation would I change? I'm thinking more of interpersonal situations, as opposed to "I'd have majored in business economics instead of Medieval Literature," but however you want to address it is automatically going to be interesting, since you're all pretty damned interesting.
